A great place for a good, smooth coffee and quality pastries. The food this time round could have been better, details in review below.
Coffee - smooth, not bitter, not burnt . Very enjoyable. 5 stars.
Pastries : cinnamon scrolls - very tasty dough - not tough, very soft, nice strong cinnamon flavour, not too sickly sweet - 5 stars
Food : eggs Benedict - 3.5 stars. Food review: the eggs Benedict wasn't the star of the show today unfortunately. The poached eggs were not runny, more on the hardboiled side. The holondaise sauce was quite scarce. Eggs Benedict is generally known for its richness of the runny eggs and creamy, thick abundance of tart butter sauce (hollandaise). I just didn't get that with this meal. Not to say it wasn't tasty - it was, it just wasn't at the expectation level after a 5 stars coffee and pastry. The bacon is "American" style, so very crispy , which is more a preference, so can't really mark that down or up - up to you to mention to the staff your bacon style, otherwise it will be crispy. My meal unfortuanlty also had some eggshells with it - perhaps it was just an off-day .
Finishing on a more positive note - the staff are lovely, accommodating and friendly. Also the feta cheese here is a delicious addition...
Read moreButcher Baker Coffeemaker is a charming café located opposite the picturesque Woody Point beach.
Avocado on sourdough had a harmonious blend of sweet and savoury flavours. Waffles were very sweet; however, with the beautiful combination of mint and fresh fruit it left my palate feeling refreshed. Presentation of all menu items shows creativity and pure elegance. This was seen in the placement of fresh and vibrant produce. Barista always makes full-bodied coffees with beautiful crema art.
Entire café environment was aesthetically pleasing. Outside faces Woody Point beach and all of its beauty. Eating area beside the café has a small water feature and beautiful greenery which make the experience relaxed. I also love that the cafes outdoor dining space is pet friendly. Inside can be a little noisy at times due to the cafes popularity; however, appearance is clean and modern.
Staff are polite, friendly, hard working and very helpful.
Pricing is a little expensive for food; however, it's definitely worth the visit if money...
Read moreEstablished in 2017, Butcher, Baker Coffeemaker café is comparatively new to the Redcliffe Peninsula. But by the number of patrons they catered for when we were there, they are well and truly one of the crowd.
Open as they are from 6 o’clock in the morning to 1 o’clock in the afternoon, their menu is very much a breakfast/ brunch/ light lunch type.
There are dishes based on a variety of breads, like banana bread, bagels, buns, and toast; pastries and croissants for the sweet tooth, or served with cheese, bacon and eggs for those who are looking for something more substantial.
The service is both pleasant and speedy.
Afterwards you can cross the road and saunter to the beach where you’ll meet up with seagulls and pelicans, picknickers, sausage sizzlers or sea-breeze fanatics walking, running or giving their pets an airing.
A great place to...
