My family recently visited this restaurant just this Saturday/ May 2023 - We immediately experienced a friendly and warm service from the moment we arrived. This place serves authentic home style Filipino dishes which reminds of my second home 🏡. Overall, definitely a great place to grab your next favourite authentic Filipino dish. If you're up to something try their roast pork hock " crispy pata ". I've visited several Filipino restaurant but Filoz by far cooks the best 👌 "Crispy Pata" perfectly without a doubt. Thank you to all staff and management We had a lovely evening and we look forward in returning back. Definitely recommend 💯💯💯💯💯💯 I previously rated this restaurant with excellent reviews. However, the third, fourth visit I made on this restaurant was pretty disappointing. I pre booked this restaurant a week before my Mum's birthday. First, they were short staff , second I ended doing their job because they couldn't cope with the incoming diners. You should come and visit Kubo Bar and Grill at Coorparoo and just observe their staff and make a comparison to your restaurant. You'll see the big difference where your restaurant is failing to deliver. I regret referring my friends to your restaurant. You just lost a good customer. ❌❌❌👎👎🧚♀️
If you are looking for a quiet family out, forget about this place. This was my go to for my filipino nostalgic fix but my recent visit has left a foul taste in my mouth. I am not too sure if they even read all the reviews about them lacking in customer service but to add to the list they yet again to supply this to their customers as the karaoke volume was the main point of emphasis that night. Despite asking the staff politely about the loudness of the karaoke their was nothing they could do to ask the people causing a ruckus to tone it down a little bit. I have never cringed so bad whilst eating out but the fact that the staff had no back bone to turn the karaoke down was appalling. To add to this matter their was an infant dining with us too. Food was good and it always has been but customer service isn’t their main priority.
Ps (Read your reply and this is my response) This is not my wife, my wife is capable enough to leave her own review. Anyways, the table you offered wouldn’t make any difference as the NOISE was even loud enough to get to the other side. Even the new customers who went in and sat on the table that you offered also complained about how insensitive the other group were. They weren’t just singing, they were dancing and shouting as if it was a club and not a restaurant. We are not against anyone singing the karaoke but what they did was beyond disrespectful. And you as a management failed to reprimand and take control of the situation. They weren’t the only ones dining in and everybody should get the same customer service they deserve. Respect...
Read moreIn my frequent visits to Filipino restaurants, sinigang is a go-to for its usually delightful taste. However, my recent experience left much to be desired as the dish lacked its usual flavor, resembling more of a subtle hint of sinigang or nilaga. Despite not being one to complain, I kindly approached the waitress to request a replacement. Although she promptly brought a new serving, the ensuing explanation felt a bit unexpected. I believe constructive criticism can be valuable, and the waitress mentioned their standard preparation. However, her explanation about their standard preparation seemed defensive, and the overall interaction felt a bit awkward— and I had hoped for a more accommodating response.
The overall interaction had moments of awkwardness, particularly when we were asked for our order almost immediately after being seated. Enough time was not given for us to look though the menu and I felt rush to make an order.
During payment, when questioned about finishing the dish, I politely explained our preference without offending. The waitress remarked, "sayang naman po," to which I responded, "okay lang po,' only to be playfully labeled as ‘rich’. In truth, I was raised with values emphasizing gratitude for any food and avoiding wastefulness.
I believe a more receptive response to feedback would enhance the dining experience for all.
P.S. Food was also expensive compared to other Filipino...
