Rusticks Cafe — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

I work in the centre and have been going to this cafe for a while now along with all my staff that also work here. I have never had a problem the staff are always friendly and nice until today. I went in and ordered a toastie, they delivered it to the store as usual but I noticed they had given me a croissant not a toastie. Simple mistake I went back happy as Larry (I work in customer service and can’t stand when customers are rude, I believe you should treat people the way you would like to be treated) when I got back I explained I ordered a toastie but got a croissant in which the lady very rudely told me no you didn’t you ordered a croissant. I said no sorry I didn’t I asked for a toastie with mayo on it she then mumbled under her breath no you didn’t but ok. I had a staff member with me and I even asked him what did I order and he said you definitely ordered a toastie. She then brought the correct order back Down to my store chucked it on the bench while I was serving customers and said to me next time make sure you order the right thing. I honestly cannot believe the way she treated me I’m shocked especially considering I work in the centre and our store gives your cafe lots of business every day. Everyone else here are fantastic but this lady has made me and my staff questioned ever going back...

So absolutely discussed with the female manager on duty today 8/4/22

Yes my child may have been in the floor and yes I was busy dealing with my other son so we could leave

But the way you spoke to me was horrible you need to work on your customer service l had already noticed you walking around no smile extra

You had 2 options wait for me to sort out my children or walk around another way but you chose to be rude and make the process longer

This place yes the food was good and all other staff a saw were good this place is no way friendly for people with prams and walkers to crammed no high chairs

Even when l came up to speak after you still continued to argue as a manager myself l was surprised, if l did what u have done l wouldn’t be surprised if l got a complaint

Maybe you shouldn’t be working on the floor

I’m in Rustiks enjoying a delicious bacon and egg sandwich and reading a cruel review on Google for the same product. I feel I should balance the report. Mine is toasted perfectly, the egg cleverly not too hard and not too soft, bacon generous and tasty, the sauce exactly as I ordered it and the little side salad delicious and adding value to a fairly-priced snack. The staff are lovely, the coffee perfectly brewed and I will be back. Sorry for the other guy - he must have had a bad day! I should have added a photo of my sandwich but something...
