For years, this has been my go-to Indian restaurant, and no matter where I move, I’m always happy to make the 40-minute drive to indulge in its incredible flavors. The food here is simply unbeatable. The chicken tikka masala is always tender, bursting with rich, aromatic spices, and cooked to absolute perfection. Each bite is an explosion of flavor that never disappoints. The spinach chicken, paired with their garlic naan, is another standout—fresh, vibrant, and a harmonious balance of savory goodness. The naan is the best I’ve ever had, generously layered with garlic that adds just the right amount of boldness to compliment the dishes. Every meal is a treat. What makes this place even more special is its atmosphere—quiet, cozy, and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The fact that it’s BYO is a huge bonus, allowing you to pair your meal with your favorite drinks. The location, just across from the Victoria Point old bus stop (near the movies and op shops), makes it easy to find and worth the short detour. From the consistently excellent food to the welcoming vibe, it’s clear that this restaurant is a hidden gem. It’s a place that never lets me down, offering comfort in both its food and ambiance. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, I wholeheartedly recommend making the journey to experience it for yourself—you won’t regret it!

Another hidden gem. Missed the birthday day but Haveli Indian Restaurant has been open for 18 years and our wonderful and helpful waitress has been part of the family business since she was a bit over 2 years old. All the food was beautifully spiced and we went medium and it was the perfect curry level. Standouts of the night were the the Onion and Baby Spinach Pakora, The Butter Chicken ( always a crowd pleaser) and just amazing the Goat Curry. Cannot go past Roti and condiments and instead of plain rice we went the Kashmiri Pulao. Should have taken photos but we were all too excited. Big trip from Indro but it was a great trip and great food. Fully licensed so enjoyed some Indian lager. Next time we go will try the Haveli Special Banquet.

I have ordered several times from Haveli, I absolutely love the flavour of their Lamb Madras, their other curries are also fabulous flavours. However my rationale for this 2 star rating is that my last order had some hard non food broken stuff in the curry. I seems to be from a broken crockery or something like that. I did message on their Facebook Messenger account and saw that they saw my message but no response. I suppose I feel there are a couple of issues with this, one the food was contaminated with this broken crockery and their customer service was totally absent in dealing with it. The food is nice, that is for sure, but if something happens to be wrong, their customer service seems to be lacking.

Service was terrible - friendly girls, but just not good at their job. Management should be ashamed at leaving two very young girls on their own in charge of a busy restaurant, especially when they obviously don’t have enough training. They don’t have the experience to understand how what they do affects a customer’s experience. On arrival I told the waitress there was a reservation for a party of 4 and gave her the name it was booked under. She didn’t know what the do with that information!! Umm ok, I further explained I was one of the party of 4 and was there for dinner. The penny dropped and I was led to a table and waited at a very dimly lit part of the restaurant (you need better lighting here I couldn’t even read the menu) for my other dinner companions to arrive. I was early but only by 15 minutes or less. One of my friends had arrived and was led to a totally different table. The waitress had told her there was no lol reservation under the name she had booked with (same name I gave). Exasperated, I got up from my table and joined my friend to wait for our other companion. When she arrived we were asked for our order “we are not ready sorry but can I please have a coke and some Samosa for starters”. Our drinks came, the Samosa did not, the rest of the mains were ordered. I ordered an entree as my main and told her this information. Out came my entree dish first - I told the service person that it was supposed to be my main, but that it was ok, but I would still like my Samosas please. She did return with them some time later with the other mains. When we left to pay we were told we couldn’t split the bill up; oh but they could divide the bill evenly into 3 equal payments. Firstly, at no point during our dinner did your wait staff tell us we couldn’t split a bill. Secondly what she said makes ZERO sense. She would still be taking 3 separate payments! She could easily use a calculator to provide us the cost to pay individually. Also, the restaurant smells stale; it needs a good clean and refurbish. Food is good, it’s my 2nd time there but it didn’t make up for the service debacle. I will...

Went there to have lunch with my partner. The service wasn’t that good. When asking where we could sit we got offered free choice. However, when heading to a window seat we got told off in a rather harsh way to not sit on a big table (which we didn’t intend to anyways). When seated we got asked if we’d like the normal menu or the lunch menu. Answering that we weren’t sure what that meant, as it was our first time visiting, we got handed the (normal?) menu but needed to ask another staff member about the lunch special menu. Food came out nicely presented. My partner and I had two different curries which we shared with each other. Unfortunately, the following night and day after dining at this restaurant we both suffered from food poisoning like we never experienced before. Will not return and definitely not recommend this place!

Edit(to the response of the restaurant): No elderly people were joining us, no food has been taken home and lastly, the symptoms of food poisoning usually begin within one to two days of eating contaminated food, although they may start at any point between a few hours and several...
