In a single word: excellent.
We randomly visited Soul Harvest after spotting it when parking at the neighbouring Woolworths complex (note to self, endless parking!).
After being greeted by the friendly staff members, we took a seat in the clean, well presented and open area. There is also some outdoor seating, if preferred.
My wife and I both selected the Vegetarian Breakfast Board, along with a smoothie each. Charlie Charlie for me (peanut butter, cacao, banana, almond milk, protein & more), and a Berry Blast for her (mixed berries, protein, peanut butter, almond milk). Both were exceptionally good and even for me, who's not a massive peanut butter guy, I savoured every last drop.
Our Vegetarian Boards were also of a high quality. Although conservative in size, the flavours delivered by each individual item easily made this a wise choice; the perfectly poached eggs, flavoursome beetroot hummus, golden fried halloumi, roasted tomato, chutney and spelt toast all complemented one another to create a delightful and memorable meal. To make one small observation, the chutney was perhaps a bit sweet and thus blended less easily with the other flavours. One tiny observation, though, in an otherwise flawless offering.
We finished proceedings with a flat white and some Banoffee tarts from the display cabinet. The coffee met expectations and the tarts were creamy, rich and decadent; a great (although indulgent) way to wrap things up.
Overall, Soul Harvest is a high calibre establishment that I can thoroughly recommend. Although an hour away from home, I'm already excited to visit there again when the opportunity arises.
**As a footnote, Soul Harvest also prepare and sell a ready-to-eat meal range which, if comparable to their in-store offerings, would be...
ย ย ย Read moreUsed to be such a wonderful cafe, hadnโt been in a while and was so disappointed today. 3 of us came in and ate less than 3/4 of our meals. Cost us $100 which was such a waste. There was only one lady working so we waited almost an hour, then the meals all came out at very different times. The pancakes were reheated and tasted like cardboard, the literal shot glass of maple syrup was not enough, the macadamia nuts were stale and not roasted and the berry compote was store bought jam. The reheated store bought meat patties on the wrap were dry and gross. The big breaky was not like the old pictures it was tiny sausages and mostly mushrooms with a chunk of tomato, and a skid mark of hummus. The chia was in drinkable. The whole vibe is gone and now feels like a dirty corner store, the food inedible and having the owners kid dart in and out was not professional. It was such a waste of money and time. Miss the old store we definitely wonโt be back...
ย ย ย Read moreI came here a few years ago with different owners, I remember it being quite good. I got this turmeric smoothie thing, it was so flavorless and had big chunks of ice in it still. They use bad quality paper straws which are useless after a few sips, I had to change straws 4 times to finish the smoothie. I spoke to someone at the counter about the straws and they just offered me more straws. I get that you want to avoid plastic. But maybe invest more money in higher quality paper straws or use metal straws instead. The whole place smelt bad. I got a chicken wrap and it was very average for the price- dry chicken, lack of sauce etc. The people I went with werenโt impressed with their meals either. Service was average. I donโt recommend wasting...
