A great spot any day, one of those little " hidden gem" spots awesome finds. Located at the boat ramp next to marine rescue VMR Bribie. plenty of parking all around in parkland / beach setting. If your on the water you can moor right next to it on the pontoon or pull up on the beach . Sunset is spectacular from the seats overlooking the water. The seafood especially the calamari is reeeaaally good! Coffee is decent and worth the trip but note they don't open early, generally after 10am or so. Staff are friendly and professional, service is generally quick but can be a bit of a wait peak times around Saturday and Sunday lunch as it's super popular with those that are in the know. Various alcoholic beverages are available over the counter as well.

While there where quite a few people waiting outside for food (10 orders maybe).. I hadn't expected to wait over an hour to get grilled cod and chips and a fish burger / chips. The wait didn't make sense as food was not coming out that often.. when the food did show up, no apologies for such a wait.. The wait aside.. the chips and burger was hot and actually quite a good burger.. the grilled fish on the other hand was cold and rubbery.. obviously not cooked at the same time.. we actually couldn't eat much of it.. and it was thrown.. pretty disappointing after waiting so long.. So much for trying the most recommended fish and chips on the island.. If only the wait time was shorter and the fish cooked to order...

Having had fish and chips at woorim in the past and loved them, we were very hopeful about ordering on the other side of the island. Unfortunately it was really disappointing on all fronts. First of all 45 minutes of waiting led us to ask about our order and the staff admitted they forgot to cook it. We then waited another 25 minutes and when we opened the food, to our disgust it seems the soggy inedible chips were frozen crinkle cut. Now we eat these at home from air fryer and they are nice but these were oily, soggy chewy and quite awful so they went in the bin. Fish was average at best. I generally only leave good reviews but this experience was so bad I felt the public should be made aware.

This place advertises Gluten and dairy free options. Well, no, no options, the only option is grilled fish. Waited over an hour for food. Asked the young girl if our food was in the fryer, if not we would need a refund because we had to leave. The girl was rude and said our food was coming. She retrieved my order receipt from the kitchen and told the chef we cancelled our order? I was confused and asked the girl again if our food was being cooked like she said it was? The girl became irate and rude, and said it was being cooked. So I asked her not to cancel it. Time went by, so I asked another girl who rudely said “we’re busy” to which I replied I was busy too, I just want to know if the food was in the fryer. This girl stormed off muttering to herself. Other orders came out, orders that were placed after ours. I then asked a young boy if he could check to see if our food was actually being cooked. A simple question to all 3.. When I asked the young boy who was polite what was actually going on, the first young girl started screaming over the top of me and as I ignored her she continued her rant called me a CT repeatedly, telling me not to laugh at her cause she would “Bash my Fkg head in!” All of this in front of my kids and other people at the cafe. All of this because I ignored her while I spoke to the young boy. Totally gobsmacked. An older lady came to calm the situation as the young girl was being restrained. Totally blown out of proportion. Apparently I should have acted like an adult, which I thought I did, I didn’t yell I didn’t swear I didn’t threaten her, normally I wouldn’t stand there and let anyone call me a CT especially in front of children. A simple question requiring a simple answer, I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time or money or food. The only apology I got was “The girl is young, I will talk to her about her language “ then offered a refund which was HALF of what I paid for my order. I finally got all my money back, half an apology and the...

Eaten here twice. First time: ordered three tier. All the food was good. The stupid amount of salt rocks that everything was served on was unnecessary and definitely took away from the meal because they would stick to everything. We were served a kilo of prawns with no bowl for shells no finger bowl, and no cutlery (I.E oyster fork) I had to ask twice before the server brought out the additional bowls etc. We also ordered chips which never arrived but the food quality was good enough that we didn't notice until the drive home. I gave feedback to a waitress about how the salt wasn't a pleasant experience and she honestly didn't seem to care. I knew for certain she would not be providing feedback.

Second time: ordered prawns & oysters plate. I meant to ask for it without the salt rocks but after a 7 min wait to be served I'd forgotten. again we had to ask for finger bowls and a bowl for shells. What the hell? How is this not standard with prawns? The oysters kilpatrick were a distaster The oysters were so tiny and overcooked and to try and hide this they just put lots more bacon any sauce There was no flavor balance and out of 24 oysters we ate 5. It was just such a disgusting taste of overpowering sauce and no oyster. I asked the server if it was normal (knowing it wasn't) and she said yes there's nothing wrong with having almost no oyster. I eat Kilpatrick everywhere This is not normal. Super disappointing See the pic for yourself.

Further to this the overall experience is just not fun Ordering is a joke - 1.5 ppl serving the constant line and managing the take away orders via a single till. I lined up 3 times for food, drinks, and to get sauces I think i waited for about 17 minutes in total. The very young staff who served us both times just don't seem to care (I don't think they get paid enough to deal with...

So this is usually my favourite place to get food from. Normally the service we receive is extremely inviting and friendly.

My partner & I decided to have a date night & get our favourite meal. We were waiting outside on some chairs and the whole time all we could hear were the young kids behind the counter swearing & yelling at eachother. We even thought it may have changed ownership because it was so strange to us.

The food is amazing as always, however we also noticed they were low on stock compared to usual, no tomato sauce, no gravy and barely any drinks in the fridge compared to what they normally have.

It was disappointing for some kids to ruin our night carrying on how they were and quite literally yelling at eachother and calling eachother names. Even to the point they ignored a customer waiting at the counter because they were too busy yelling and swearing at eachother.

We were going to sit outside the restaurant but didn't want to be disturbed by how loud these people were being so we ended up moving spots.

Please understand that when you are working, it is extremely unprofessional to be swearing and arguing when all the customers can hear you. It actually makes customers feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Not only that but you left a customer at the counter waiting while you were too busy carrying on.

I was fairly disappointed because usually they are amazing with their service. I won't be visiting any time soon after the last service...
