Thai Time Redland Bay — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

OMG! It’s a hectic Monday and I just don’t have the energy to cook dinner - my daughter wants Maccas, my Mum wants fish and chips, my husband says ‘whatever’… I decide we’re having Thai - and I swear it’s the best Thai, ney, Thai- Chinese fusion, I’ve ever had in my life! Imagine this - the sweet and sour pork has a perfect balance of sweet and sour, it’s actually full of pork and the batter is perfectly light, but present - not tempura-thin by any means, but also not cakey - just perfect… and it’s still crunchy, even though it’s take out - even an hour after we’ve picked it up and I’m cleaning up, putting away the leftovers and sneaking those little tid bits ;) the coconut prawns the same, even the honey chicken - all still crunchy! despite being covered in sauce and left for ages - how did they do that?!??! All of the flavours perfect … And the soup - some mild coconut cream version of Tom Yum I can’t remember the name of - but so perfectly creamy, not too spicy with all of the right qualities of sour, sweet, salty that makes your mouth water and drives you to want to scull the remaining soup directly from the take away container :P My absolute kudos to whoever was Chef on this cold Monday night - what you served us was truly spectacular and we will definitely be back, and would follow you wherever you might go :) Exceptional cooks are few and far between - whoever is cooking at Thai Time Redland Bay at the moment is exceptional and I hope to enjoy many of your creations...

Just a quick stop for some takeaway to eat one of my favourite cuisines, Thai food.

Had a Seafood Laksa. This has to be one of the best seafood laksa's I've had on the east coast of Australia!

It was still hot when I reached my destination. The spicy level was just right and not too over powering, you could still taste the creamy coconut base and a subtle seafood taste in the sauce. The seafood itself was plenty and cooked right, answered the vegetables.

Customer service on the phone was ok and fast, as was the pick up. They seem to employ locate young staff to keep costs down and give young employees work. Customer service training is a must 😉

I’m writing this review from a place of annoyance, as when I got my takeaway order home I found that the lid of one of the meals either wasn’t on properly or was faulty and the sauce was EVERYWHERE! This clearly wasn’t the first time it had happened either, as there was cling wrap over the meal as well, which I’ve never come across before. I hate to break it to you guys but the cling wrap doesn’t work in this regard. My entrees in a paper bag were drowned in curry sauce and the carry bag was swimming. You clearly need to invest in better quality containers. On the other hand the service was quick and friendly and the food hot and fresh. However I doubt that I will be back, the irritation I’m feeling at having to clean up BEFORE I eat is too...
