Concept is there with lots of potential but unfortunately the lack of attention to service lets them down. My partner and I walked in and asked to sit for lunch and were told to “sit wherever we want”. The room had around 6 tables available which we weren’t lead to. After sitting we waited and a staff member came to take our order and apologised for the wait despite there being around 5 floor staff visible. We ordered our meals, drinks and a side of fries. When our meals came out, one wasn’t what had ordered, they said, “Oh I grabbed the wrong one” it became clear that wasn’t the case and my partner was sitting waiting with his meal while I waited further for mine to be ready. Once mine arrived, we had to ask for cutlery and checked where the fries were, they said, I’ll get those but there’ll be a wait, implying they had also been missed. I went to the kitchen and asked for the fries to be taken off our order because they were taking too much time snd would no be pointless by the time we were finished eating our meals. There was no attempt to come and ask if we wanted further drinks, or if we needed anything. There were other tables in the room that had sat with empty glasses in front of them for over 40min. No clearing was done, no refilling of water, very poor attention in the room. At the cash register, the bill wasn’t shown, we had to ask what it was and if our fries had been taken off. The staff member said oh we’ll take off your coffee cause you “got a bit screwed around today”

Read moreWhat a turnaround in such a short time with new owners. As regulars to this establishment we were disgusted not only service and orders but the handling of the situation by owners. On ordering coffee were asked to pay even though we wanted to order breakfast. I went back to order poached eggs and bacon girl behind the desk has not been trained and had no skills to be front of house . I went returned back to my seat and said not sure what we are going to receive as it took 5 min to scroll the pad.Same person came out with cutlery held by tops and sat them down yuk. Staff came out walked around the outside area with 2 x poached eggs, asked if it was ours and we said no we had bacon as well. 5 min later someone comes back with the meals , this is yours. I asked where is the bacon. Owner said you didn't pay for bacon, I got up to get some pepper came back to my seat ,waiter had bought out 3 strip's on a plate. I said to my husband I will pay on way out. THEN owner turns up with 2 plates of bacon and eftpos machine in hand and is asked for $12 payment. Read moreElla -our waitress- was one of the best waitresses we've ever had serve us and we've been around the world. We came on Friday night for dinner, not for the 1st time; but it was the 1st time we encountered Ella. She was amazing; from the smile, the knowledge, the way she sold the meals, her relaxed and professional manner was truly a cut above the rest. She is the pinnacle of how a waitress/waiter should be. We loved the kitchen staff singing after hours, we loved the way the restaurant didn't push us to finish up, even though they vacuumed and did the usual clean up/pack up process around us. They gave us space and was wonderfully attentive. The steak I had was divine & cooked perfectly as was the potatoes and salad so yum. We also had the Fish of the day - best fish in town and clearly very fresh. Thank you Robbie Brown, you have given us a place to want to come back to over and over again. Ella deserves a pat on the back and small raise or bonus. We'll come back...
