Refused a refund [received full refund in the end] and abused by staff.
There was an missing item in my order and after driving home to find the issue and driving back an almost 25-minute round trip wasting my time and fuel everything was cold and I didn't want cold food.
When I arrived back at the store, I handed over the bag with the food in it and drinks and I explained the issue and that I would be happy with either for the order to be re-made or a refund. The manager handed me $10 dollars [I paid almost $40 and had a receipt]. I tried to discuss the issue with the shift Manager who told me they are a business and not a charity, they can't afford to give away product for free [I am a paying customer and never asked for free food....], that I was wasting their time and holding everyone else up. After a good while discussing the issue and repeatedly asking for a refund they suggested that they could call the store manager which I agreed with.
The shift manager told me they store manager advised him to give me two options 1. I leave now or they call the police 2. He will provide me with the store managers phone number so I can go away and discuss the issue with her. I agreed to take the managers contact information for the store manager and the shift manager then replied, "that's what I thought!'
I parked in the carpark in front of the store and called the store manager. When I spoke to the store manager, she asked me how I got her contact information and why I was calling her about this issue. I explained to her the situation which she said she was aware of and that she did just speak with the shift manager about it however stated she didn't give anyone permission to give out her personal phone number or to contact her and proceeded to ask how I got her phone number. After again explain that the shift manager provided me with the phone number and told me to raise ethe problem with her I was listened to my side of the story. After hearing my side of the story that I had no food and only $10 out of the $40 I pad, she immediately apologized to me and advised me she would call the shift manager and call me back.
The store managed called me back and again apologized and advised that Hungry Jacks policy is to provide a full refund if they have taken the food back and advised me the shift manager was already preparing the refund and that I could return to the store to collect it.
I again re-entered the drive-thru asked for the refund and waited for the manager. While I was waiting some other staff member, I had not previously dealt with came up to the window and yelled at me "Do you have nothing better to do with your life'. I was really confused by this rude person and apologized to him [not sure why, it was very unexpected, no Idea who he was or why he was involving himself], after I said sorry to him, he asked what I wanted, and I told him I had spoken to the store manager who gave me permission to return to receive the refund and he then stormed off. Soon after that lovely interaction the shift manager returned handed me the refund but wouldn't look at me or speak to me... I tried to raise the issue with the rude staff member, but he closed the window and walked away ignoring me so I left.
I will not return to this location as this isn't the first time that I have had issues here.
I now film all my fast-food drive-thru interactions because I am being abused by the staff... I understand that people abuse fast food workers and I hate that people do that, but I can't believe it when the staff abuse the customers and think that is ok. My wife worked in fast-food for 5 years so I have a lot of respect for the stuff that they have to put up with but why should I put-up with it from them, I really try to be as polite and penitent...
Read moreAfter finishing a work shift, decided to place an app order on the way home, at 3am, got to the drive through after my order was processed, told the staff member my app order number was told to drive through to the available window, to which then I was told that due to the machine been out of order they could not serve my part of my order, when I asked about the rest of my order the male staff member RUDELY replied as well as that one when I asked for a refund because they could not complete my order, again RUDELY said we don't do that here, contact customer service when I question him as to why they accept my order, then unable to complete why could not give a runfund, to which they're supposed to do!!!!! While talking to this rude staff member, twice I asked him could he not to be so rude, he then just before slamming the window, told me if I didn't like it to contact customer support we don't do that here, go to MacDonald's!!!! Frustrated by his constant rudeness, I did reply to him, after he said that, quote before or after I report YOU to customer support unquote So now with no evidence that I did not receive my order, to which i had paid for, I am left with chasing up customer service to get my money back and oh yeh reporting this member of staff!!! I get that things happen etc But NO EXCUSE on this absolutely disgusting customer service Delated app and will Not...
Read moreFinally, a place that actually gives you enough Biscoff ice cream. Just had it with all the other Hungry Jack's nearby. Not giving enough ice cream or cookies into my order and seeing this one being able to give lots of cookies and ice cream, I'm thoroughly satisfied and I will be coming back here again 10 out of 10
This Hungry Jack's location stands out for its generous portions, especially when it comes to their Biscoff ice cream. It's not just the quantity; the quality is top-notch as well. The ice cream is creamy and rich, and the Biscoff cookies are perfectly crunchy, providing that delightful contrast in texture.
The staff here also deserve a shoutout. They're friendly, efficient, and seem genuinely committed to ensuring a great customer experience. It's refreshing to see a fast-food place that doesn't skimp on either service or portion sizes.
Additionally, the restaurant is clean and well-maintained, which adds to the overall positive experience. The drive-thru service is quick, and they've got the order right every single time, which is more than I can say for some other locations.
In a world where you often get less than what you pay for, this Hungry Jack's is a pleasant exception. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the mood for some indulgent Biscoff ice cream or any of their other tasty offerings. A solid 10/10 from me, and I'll definitely be a...
