Took my wife and son out to our local McDonalds at 8.10pm Thursday night. Ordered from inside the restaurant as we usually do. Sat down and waited for our order⌠and waited and waited. 21 minutes later, my wife went to the counter and spoke with a young staff member and inquired about our order. The staff member looked around and saw our food order bag sat on the side at the back. (The bag we noticed had been there 8 minutes). Staff member picked up the bag and said itâs here. The staff member said âsorry for the waitâ. When we finally then received our order, it was all cold. What a disappointment!! In fact we were so fed up with waiting and the weak apology from the staff member, we couldnât be bothered to wait for our food warming, we just ate and left. Throughout our long wait, we observed all the staff members taking drive through orders and completing online orders. Drive through orders came and went and came and went. Online orders came and went and came and went. I cannot believe that a huge global company like McDonalds always give priority to the drive through and now it seems online customers too. Whilst the walk in customers are left until last. I understand McDonalds get rated on how fast their drive through orders are completed but it seems all their efforts are focussed on this way too much. Can you imagine if they were rated on how fast they serve the walk in customers?? Imagine the timer counter starting as soon as you ordered at the counter and stopped when you received your order!! They would be very very low in their ratings. McDonalds never used to operate this way, and itâs not just isolated to this particular restaurant either. Come on McDonalds⌠lift your game and also focus on the poor customers who actually takes the time to park up and physically walk into your restaurants. We are paying customers too!!    Read moreThis morning, on March 1st, 2023, at approximately 8:11am, I had an interaction at my local McDonald's that left me feeling disappointed. I have been a regular customer at this location for years and have always had wonderful experiences there. However, this morning, when I went there with my children to purchase six hash browns, I encountered an issue that changed my perception of the service.
At the serving window, I politely asked if the order could be split into two bags so that I could give one to each of my children and avoid any potential fighting over the food. To my surprise and disappointment, the person who initially served me snatched the bag out of my hand, which I found to be quite rude.
This experience was especially frustrating because it was so different from my previous experiences at this McDonald's. Over the years, I have always received friendly service and excellent food, and I had never encountered any issues or problems. However, this one bad interaction left a lasting impression on me and has made me question whether I will continue to visit this location in the future.
It is unfortunate that one negative experience can have such a significant impact on a customer's perception of a business, especially when they have had years of positive experiences in the past. While the improved service from the other staff member was appreciated, it did not fully make up for the disappointment caused by the initial interaction.    Read moreCan I just say that the response from this Mecca's is appalling! Although the guy who served me at the windows was respectful and did his job. I bought a big family meal deal because I was tired after a long day so it was a treat for me and the kids. I had to wait 20mins extra which was fine till I got home and realised the chicken nuggets were missing. I tried to call the Maccas but just kept ringing out and then they did pick up once only to hang it up as well. So we didn't get the nuggets that night, I had to put a complaint through online and even with that I still.got no response back from maccas, it's now been over a month. They take your money and yet don't expect to give you what your owed. The fact that I got no response from maccas at all just goes to show that they couldn't care less now that they have my money,the drive through maccas also couldn't care less as they made no effort to reach out even after I left my contact details on the complaint to maccas. Whoever is managing seems like they couldn't even care less. It's appalling, I'll happily drive over to hungry jacks where I'll actually get more sauce and veggies on my burgers.
