My partner and I came here for a short visit on a Sunday, for a small meal and a coffee. It's the first time we've been here and it was quite nice.
The serving staff were kind, well spoken and after our meal, the owner even came over and spoke to us. Welcomed us into the neighbourhood. We were informed however for the weekends to book as it can get quite busy, so prospective customers will have to keep that in mind.
As for the food, we ordered the brekkie burger, a coffee and a chai latte. The food was fantastic and the drinks were quite nice.
We sat inside the Cafe on raised tables, which isn't ideal for us but given that we didn't book, it was okay as it was the only available. There are lower tables available. The noise inside wasn't too bad, except at times. Still managed to hold conversations.
The cost was more on the dear side, as we only got a smaller meal. However with the quality we experienced, it would definitely constitute as a treat once in a while.
The location is quite lovely. Right on the lakeside. Parking here is a bit tricky if it's busy, but there are a few options, both near and opposite the lake.
Thank you to management and staff, was a good...
Read moreVery disappointed that we got kicked off a table this morning with two small kids when we walked in at opening time, it had no reserved sign on it and most tables were still empty. I'm all for taking bookings so families can have 'planned' outings but in my experience most cafes don't 'book out' basically the whole restaurant for breakfast with reservations and make sure there is still a good amount of tables for walk ins. Many busy cafes just have first in first served policy and just have a few dedicated tables for requested bookings. We probably would have been finished and gone by the time all their bookings actually arrived.. A breakfast cafe should really open earlier then 8am, then they would have staggered breakfast and not a mad rush at opening. It's one thing to not be able to get a table because they are all full, it's another to be told to get off when they are practically all still empty and there is no people waiting. It's just a local cafe, we should be able to wake up and go get a coffee at opening without having to book five days in advance. Very disappointed with the attitude...
Read moreOn Sunday’ 3rd March we were in Springfield at a local cafe, which Google said had a full menu and great reviews for breakfast. Unfortunately this wasn’t true so we saw Moselle’s across the road, alongside the river.. this cafe looked like the perfect place for a good breaky, but as it was busy we didn’t think we’d get a table. As we approached the entry, a lovely man happily welcomed us and offered us a table, we’d come at the right time! We were handed a menu which had a great range of meals. We decided on an eggs Benny with bacon and the smashed avo along with two coffees. The wait staff were friendly, and our breakfast arrived in great time, hot and fresh. Eggs were poached perfectly, and the toppings were generous.
We’ve found it hard to find a good spot for breakfast, and so with the great food, beautiful scenery and fantastic service, we will 100% be back. Travelling from Park Ridge to Springfield Lakes...
