So I'll start this off by saying that the dinner my wife and I had was phenomenal. It's truly amazing. However, that's where my praise ends, sadly. Starting off, on our arrival things seemed really disorganised as if they had lost our booking, luckily they found it and we were given a booth. When seated, we were given a menu. Usually, while waiting with a menu at other restaurants, you're given a knife and a fork on a napkin. We didn't get this. I didn't think much of it at first. My wife and I ordered and waited for our food, which took about half an hour. On arrival, we had just a steak knife, and I'm a bit perplexed about how something as simple as cutterly could be forgotten. However, easy remedy, flagged down a staff and problem solved. Next issue. After finishing our meal, we were just ignored. After 30 minutes, I flagged down one of their workers and told them what was going on and asked if we could get our deserts and tabled cleared. His response was sure, and he just left. Didn't see him again except at a distance serving other customers. We decide to be patient, and at 8:42 p.m., a female worker comes over and asks politely if we're done, we explain the situation, and she asks if we'd like to wait for our deserts she just has to find the order. We say we'd rather go, and she understands, takes the plates, and we head to the counter to pay. On getting to the counter, we spoke to the same person who was confused about our booking in the first place. We went about getting the desert removed from our total cost when the female worker said she found it and explained the situation offering to send it out as takeaway. We declined politely as we were tired at this stage and a little annoyed at all the waiting and just wanted to go home. However the wife and I noticed the male worker behind the counter seemed to glare daggers at the female worker for this. I don't know what going on but you shouldn't even attempt to get made that she couldn't make the sale when the whole team failed.
Tldr: Food good, service bad except one staff member. Ignored almost the entire night after ordering. Service would have been one star if not for that amazing female worker! She...
Read moreIf you're thinking of coming to rashays Redbank, do yourself a favour and drive the extra 10 minutes to the riverlink.
I stopped in for lunch with some friends since we were close by, I have been to the riverlink store a number of times and had high hopes which were quickly crushed.
After waiting almost 10 minutes to be seated and another 15 to order the quality of the food was disappointing. I myself ordered the southern burger which was pretty good itself, however the chips and onion rings I got as sides left much to be desired. The chips were a mix of cold and warm, luck of the draw which one I picked up and the onion rings were also not very hot and soggy.
My friends ordered the Mac attack bowl and a new York strip steak. The Mac attack bowl was also cold. The steak was the most disappointing out of the lot. Compared to a new York strip you would get anywhere else this was not a quality piece of steak. It was asked to be medium rare but instead was well done in some places and rare in others. I'm not one to usual nitpick at presentation however this plate looked like it had been quickly thrown together with no passion.
The tables in the restaurant did not get cleared for a long time. The people that were seated before us, which we ended up sitting right next to (social distancing??) left after 5 minutes, their table had not been cleared by the time we left 50 minutes later. The music being played was the complete opposite that you want to listen to when eating. A mixture of today's hits and rap songs that were not censored and contained countless swears and N words is not music that you want to listen when dining in to 'enjoy' a meal.
Overall, the food was all cold like it had been sitting on the bench the entire 30 minutes we waited for it. The atmosphere inside was not very friendly at all. I will not be returning to this store in the future and if the same person owns both stores I would recommend paying some attention to the Redbank store because it is an embarrassment to the...
Read moreHad an family adults only dinner last night. It is a spacious eatery with both in and out door eating. The outdoor eating area adjacent to the car park has very busy foot traffic. The lay out and ambiance is fantastic. The menu is comprehensive and can lead to a conundrum of choice. The drinks were very nice. I ordered battered fish and chips with salad. The fish while very tasty, was very oily. The salad, chips and tartare sauce were all perfect. Its always great to eat good chips. The highlight dish for the evening was the Chicken Risotto. This dish was so flavorful and so thoroughly enjoyable. Hands down 10/10. The prawn pasta and the chicken fettuccine were average. If only they had the same standard and taste as the chicken risotto. The waiting time was around 40 minutes. Servings are very generous. The staff are very friendly. My only suggestion will be that they don't over service customers. As soon as we set down we had a very friendly staff member introduce herself to us. Within minutes she was back asking us if we were ready to order. With a conundrum of choice it's hard to order within minutes. Better communication between staff on orders would also help in ensuring customers are not telling different staff their order details. I think this place is geared to become flawless as an eatery. Overzealous friendly staff over servicing can become patronizing. I have been fair and honest in my opinion in the hope that our next experience is a better one. You guys are so close to being...
