Ordered a Chilli Beef Bento box which was listed as $15 on the menu, but for some reason, I was charged $17. The first image is a photo of what I received; as you can see, there is minimal food. The meat pictured was literally all I was given, which was a few tiny pieces. The image does not truly display how little food was given because the depth of the container was also ridiculous and they spread the food so it covered the surface area of the cointainer as if to make it 'look' full.
The second image is for comparison, which is a bento box from the Sunnybank area and only costs $14.80! Look at the difference in meat portions given, and the depth of the container is also MUCH deeper, which was actually filled up.
I actually cannot fathom how this restaurant can justify charging these comparably exorbitant prices when I can 100% say for certain that the overheads of running a restaurant in the Redbank Plains area is far, far cheaper than that of the Sunnybank area. 2* was given instead of 1 because I ordered a beef bowl from here on another occasion, which was...
Read moreOrdered from here last night, the sushi and sashimi Bento Box. It looked good and most of it tasted great except some of the sushi, tasted a little weird.
Didn't think much of it, after all it's a sushi place they would make sure that they have used safe food.
Today my toilet is crying in agony, as much as I am - every 45 minutes I have been needing to relieve myself. With each cramp and roaring pain my mind turns to my foolish remark last night, she'll be right mate. Oh how wrong was I, she is not right and I don't think she will be right for a very long time.
TLDR; if you want to scar your mind and body to traumatic levels I recommend eating for Sushi 79 - but if you value your dignity and don't want to spend 3 hours of you life cleaning out your toilet for the horror the food safety standards are from this establishment then I would recommend staying clear.
P.S. I won't include pictures as no person deserves to see...
Read moreI ordered the salmon Mountain roll, which was not a mountain AT ALL. The amount of salmon is a joke. 2 tiny pieces per sushi piece. I pretty much paid $18 for a vegetarian roll with 2 Tablespoons (if that) of salmon. Oya sushi has 4x the amount of salmon it's actually all piled on top. I will compare photos next time I order from Oya sushi. The okonomiyaki was typical and the crab croquettes are nice with a free sauce. Also they gave chopsticks, soy and wasabi for free. First time I've been here and I most likely won't be going back.
Update... thought I'd order from here again through doordash. I recieved someone else's order. I called doordash and it was not the dashers fault as he only had one order in his vehicle so he was given the wrong order from the restaurant. I was really hoping I'd have a better experience the 2nd time around. So...
