Kilmore Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Kilmore

I recently visited Kilmore Bakery Cafe and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon entering, I placed an order that I was uncertain about, and that concern was validated when our food arrived incorrectly.

I ordered an iced latte, but instead received a hot latte. My choice of a whole meal ham and cheese toastie was completely misinterpreted, resulting in a ham and cheese roll being thrown on the table. To add to the disappointment, my friend ordered a Gunpowder green tea. When asked if she wanted milk, she politely declined, as green tea is typically enjoyed without it. However, the tea never arrived because the order was never placed.

When I inquired about the missing tea, the man at the coffee machine insisted it had been served, but I assured him it had not. He then showed me the order screen, confirming that no tea had been ordered at all. I expressed my concerns to the order taker, but there was no acknowledgment of the mistakes or any apology. After asking for the tea to be made, I walked to the register to pay for it and witnessed another order being sent back to the kitchen. This raised further concerns about the overall service quality.

Sadly, the two young ladies working there seemed overwhelmed and were left to manage the fallout from the owner and his son's poor service. Overall, my experience was marred by terrible service, and I left feeling disappointed. Regrettably, I don’t think I’ll be returning to Kilmore...

I’m pretty levelled on feedback but this needs to be shared.

Bought 2x meat, cheese and bacon pies - one each for me and my partner - last Sunday. My partner got 2 bites in and stopped, it was ‘disgusting’. I didn’t believe her, and took a bite of mine. Couldn’t believe how bad it was. Tasted over processed, over salty, the cheese was like sulphur - it tasted like it would make us sick. Took them home and fed them to the chooks. Even they were sketchy about eating them.

Staff were friendly. Will not be returning, though.

I had the pleasure of visiting this delightful cafe, and I must say it quickly became one of my favorites. The exceptional customer service provided a warm and inviting atmosphere, truly enhancing the overall experience. Every dish I had the pleasure of savoring was bursting with delicious flavors, leaving me completely satisfied.
