Kilmore Palace — Restaurant in Victoria

I have been here a couple of times and I am disappointed to say that I will not be returning

The service is okay, although I felt like I was just plonked onto a table and left there, forgotten about, it took around 20 minutes to get served and have our orders taken while the staff were just standing behind the bar having personal conversations, mind you we were one of 3 tables in the restaurant at the time. Upon receiving our order, the food was pretty enjoyable, although we were rather disappointed to receive wet and partially dirty cutlery. The tables were covered with butchers paper aswell which is lazy and not the most hygeinic option for a restaurant. We took our time eating dinner as most people do, and towards 8:00pm the staff began turning off lights at the bar and beginning to pack up, which made us feel rushed and as if we weren’t inconveniencing the staff.... we were also asked to have our table cleared before we were finished eating which made us feel even more rushed and unwanted. We were keen to give the place a second and third chance, but unfortunately 3 strikes and you’re out On the plus side they...

We have had a horrible experience at this restaurant. On Thursday the 4th of April we ordered a meal that we got take away . Upon arriving at home we realised that our order was missing food, a whole meal . Immediately we began to call the restaurant to let them know we called from 7:23pm until 8:00pm with no answer and phone line just continuously ringing out. We do not live in Kilmore so if we were to drive back to the restaurant we would not have made it prior to their closing time at 8:00pm. When finally getting a hold of the restaurant we get told that they will not replace our meal as we didn’t have a credit. How were we supposed to get a credit if we can not contact you in any way on the night??

When speaking to the person at the restaurant about this issue we could hear their conversation saying how much the meal was (over$20.00) and that they won’t replace it .

I explained to the lady that we have the phone records of us trying to contact them but they didn’t care .

Disgraceful, customer service!. We have been coming to this restaurants for years and will never return. Absolutely terrible...

Disgusting food, tasted terrible like it left a really funny taste in our mouths, my husband driving home from work to tallarook stopped at the Kilmore palace to get some dinner, have had it there a while ago and no problem at all, I wish he had read the bad reviews before going there, and there's quite a few of them, he brought it home and we started to dish it up into our bowls but as I said before it had a funny taste, didn't want to eat anymore in case there was a problem with the chicken ..my husband called and they said to bring it back for a refund, so we drove to Kilmore and the lady was so rude they even said the food wasn't from their shop, omg how stupid, he had only been there 40 minutes earlier to pick it up, he spent $70 in there and all he got back was half of that because they said we had eaten some, of course we ate some , otherwise how would we know it had a bad taste, such a stupid thing to say. So round trip to kilmore and back to tallarook was nearly 65 klms, please think twice before buying food there, it didn't even look fresh, like re heated food ,...
