What a nightmare, it was our daughters 7th birthday and she wanted to eat in at the mcdonalds instead of ordering takeaway. We ordered the family meal and we had 10 orders placed after ours and numerous car orders all receive their meals while we were patiently waiting. When I asked about our order the young girl said she had to reorder/remake our burgers as the other staff kept grabbing them for the drive thru and smaller orders. We received our meal 45+ minutes after ordering and the manager was their watching the whole ordeal without providing any support to this young worker. The manager offered no appology, no communication as if our order was a inconvenience to her. After we received the food, we were 1 burger short, we did not receive any sauces for the nuggets and when I looked at the frozen cokes we ordered it looked like the drinks were made 1 minute after the order was taken and it sat their for the remaining 44 minutes. I don't ever write reviews or whinge about this sort of stuff but when we use our hard earned money to buy takeout from these establishments we should be able to expect the quality of goods and services as advertised and consistency instead of being happy with mediocrity. Read moreI have lived in Lakelands now for 3 years and this is my regular McDonald's restaurant. Now I usually go through drive thru because it's suppose to be the fast and quick option, but last night after I placed my meal at the box, I drove to the next window to pay for my meal. I was pleasantly greeted by a young girl who clearly looked highly stressed. I'm not sure if she was new to the job but she was unable to print a receipt but asked me to drive to the next window. At the next window is where I sat for the next 13minutes while watching one employee prepare several uber eats meals, 3 managers in grey shirts walking around and 3 employees preparing food that obviously wasn't mine. This was all happening while the drive thru was completely packed behind me. When someone eventually spoke to me which was when the food was eventually delivered, no apology no nothing AND they messed up the order on top of that! Messing up orders (missing items, wrong burgers, sauce on burger when not suppose to be) is an EXTREMELY common occurrence at this particular restaurant. The managers are always full of excuses when you call up and say they will "send you a voucher" but it never comes. Very very poor customer service. I only go here because...
Read moreI just witnessed a concerning incident involving a staff member trying to steal a phone that had been handed in. I saw the phone being handed over, but when the owner returned to retrieve it, the staff claimed no phone had been handed in. I had to argue on her behalf with a team member letting them know I had witnessed it being handed in and repeatedly explained who had taken the phone when it was first handed in.
The lady who handed in the phone even told the girl her phone was behind the counter. So two witnesses and staff still denied it.
The staff member insisted no phone had been handed in, and then another worker (the lady who took the phone when it was handed in) claimed the phone actually belonged to her.
When the girl finally got her phone back, it had clearly been tampered with. It seemed like someone had tried to reset it, and now the homescreen button doesn't work properly.
The worker who took the phone then denied it had been handed in and said it was hers is the person that needs to be held accountable. This happened boxing day morning between 9am and 10am.
