Clara Cakes — Restaurant in Lobethal

My husband and I drove all the way from Semaphore to Lobethal to sample the pastries at Clara Cakes! We were not disappointed. Worth the drive! We were in pastry heaven! We bought one of each and everything was just delicious! We managed to devour the pastries (shared with family). Very delicious and made with love. We also had the ham and cheese croissant and mushroom pesto croissant at the cafe paired with their coffee and it was heavenly!! Susan at the counter was very friendly and lovely. Answered all my questions.She is a pro! We will definitely come back to Clara’s even if it’s a bit of a drive (or go to the cafes that sell their products like Veggie Vie in the CBD)! This place makes delicious food, can't say I have had something I didn't like from here. The ham and cheese pastries are amazing. Along with their cakes my favourite would be the citrus tarts. It's hard to find vegan food this good to the point I brought some for family who were coming over and they asked where I purchased them from, They were suprised they were vegan. Amazing pastries - probably the best vegan options in the state and the best customer service I've experienced at any bakery.

Each treat is a work of art and there's plenty to choose from.

I usually eat in: one savoury and one sweet pastry accompanied by their incredible coffee. Then I take a couple to go.

It's my son's favourite food place to visit, he'd give it more than 5 stars if he could.
