We have been meaning to visit this awesome looking place thatâs nestled in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. For months, weâve stalked their instagram page until a few weeks ago, we had decided to finally drive our way to this cafe.
At first, we thought that the serving was huge and the presentation was stunning. Perfectly toasted waffles topped with boneless fried chicken and refreshing ingredients. Lightly doused by this semi-tangy, spicy and sweet concoction of sauce. Probably one of the most delicious brunch item we have sampled as every ingredients complimented each other, and the flavour balance was spot on. Weâre glad to say that this tops everything and is the best chicken and waffle we have sampled so far in Adelaide.
I have really enjoyed their eggs-your-way dish as they had quite a variety of add ons. They had fried chicken as an add-on so, I ordered that along with mushrooms and chilli jam. So so delicious!!
The sticky date cake was actually so delicious with that locally produced cream! The shoestring fries were just your normal shoestring fries. The purple berry was actually quite nice and subtle. We finished that last. The Italian hot chocolate was quite new for us, it was thick and rich but it was comforting.
Safe to say that we actually enjoyed everything we ordered, which happens very rarely. Just a tiny criticism would be that the eggs were actually served a bit late. I think there was a bit of a confusion in the kitchen but it was fixed immediately. Other than that, everything was perfect! Delicious delicious delicious!!
From the outside, this cafe may look too simple but from the inside, itâs bursting with relaxing vibes. Dining here, you would be eating surrounded by green plants and, white and green interior. Thereâs a touch of wood features in the furnitures and tables. Seriously a well thought out environment for the customers.
We simply enjoyed everything about the customer service aspect of our visit. They have some of the friendliest staff we have ever encountered. Very professional in a way of explaining the menu items to us when we asked questions. Just amazing seriously!

I visited a cafĂŠ in the Adelaide Hills with three friends, and we all decided to try the same dish from the menu: Eggs Benny (GFO) with housemade crumpets, poached eggs, spinach, and hollandaise sauce. The menu also offered variations with dry cured bacon, leg ham, or smoked salmon.
When I ordered, I requested that my hollandaise sauce be served on the side, which the server confirmed. However, after a 20-minute wait, I was served a dish that was missing the eggs, spinach, and hollandaise sauce entirely. I quickly flagged down the server, explaining that I believed my dish was incorrect. She responded with confusion, suggesting that I only wanted crumpets. I tried to clarify, but her response was dismissive and somewhat condescending, implying that I hadn't paid for eggs and therefore shouldnât expect them.
After waiting another 15 minutes, I asked to speak to the manager. Emma arrived with a small bowl of poached eggs, which was also puzzling as another person at our table received a similarly incomplete dish. While explaining my dissatisfaction, the manager told me to "please be quiet" and not draw attention to the issue. She then agreed to bring the missing elements, but before leaving, she made a point of saying that we had only ordered crumpets, which wasnât trueâthere is no such dish on the menu.
Eventually, the manager returned with the correct dish. She asked if we were satisfied with it, but the experience had already been soured. Shortly after, she came back with the receipt, pointing out that we had only paid for crumpets (again, a mistake, as I had ordered the full Eggs Benny). While the gesture of complimentary coffee was appreciated, it didnât make up for the frustration we felt.
All in all, while the food (once corrected) was fine, the customer service and overall handling of the situation were disappointing. I would hesitate to return given the negative experience and lack of proper communication and...
Read moreAfter hearing so many good things about this place, we decided to come try lunch yesterday. the place itself was lovely, loved all the plants and decor, however the staff were very unfriendly and not interested in being there it seemed. We all have off days tho, so we decided to stay anyway. My friend and I both ordered iced chai, and I got the granola bowl while she got the burger, which she ordered without pickles. We had to collect our own cutlery apparently. Food came out quickly, my granola bowl was very tart but okay, however the burger had pickles on it and was extremely rare, and both our iced chais were very lack luster. Neither of them seemed to be mixed at all, and while in the menu it was advertised that all iced drinks came with cream and ice cream for $9.50, they came without anything in the smaller glass you can imagine. Very overpriced for very mediocre food and service. Will...
