Best strudel this side of Stuttgart!!!! Oh my god. Oh my God. Oh My GOD! I needn’t say any more but I will… for science. The service is superb, clearly happy staff working in a heaven of a bakery. We had dirty chai and cappuccino with our meal. Both were smooth, flavoursome and made by a barista who clearly knows what she is doing. The salmon and avocado roll was perfectly seasoned and had just the r right amount of dill without it being overpowering. The small ham salad roll was the best salad roll my husband has ever had. Just the right balance of filling and delicious crisp bread. He also had a sausage roll which was a nice snack and entree As he ate his sausage roll I started to devour the streudel. This is completely authentic, crisp, with a delicious glaze that balances the apple, spices and plump raisins to perfection. I honestly never have to try streudel again because this is perfection. Of course I will, for science. This is our last full day in Lobethal but we will return for breakfast on our way back to Adelaide tomorrow. If you stop nowhere else in the Adelaide Hill, make a beeline for the Lobethal bakery. It’s an out of body experience.

We had a delicious Army Roll. It was fresh and tasty, full of tomato, lettuce, cheese, ham and salami. The size was just right for the two of us. We aren't big eaters - he got 3/4 of the roll and I had a quarter and that was enough for me. We also bought a pistachio eclair which we enjoyed that evening. I wish we'd bought 2 (and lots of other desserts that were in their display)! The choux pastry was so light, and the creamy pistachio filling was divine. I'd definitely go back to the bakery to try many more of their delicious cakes and pastries. Service was good. The staff member who served us needed to know more about the products but other than that, no complaints from me.

Perched on the side of a hill and just off of the Main Street is this fantastic bakery. The coffee was made exactly as our group wanted and the pastries were fantastic. We didn’t have anything savoury so I can’t comment of what it was like. There is plenty of places to sit even in peak time and, I’ll call it, the “sun room” around the corner give a fantastic view over Lobethal, especially when the sun starts to set over the hills. The staff were friendly and very quick and there is plenty of parking.

The salad chicken sandwiches are wonderful. I do get a laugh because the first order I asked for chicken salad with all their salad ingredients. This resulted in a sandwich with a lot of salad and a little bit of a strange combination eg some pineapple, pickles and olives to name a few of the ingredients. Which funnily enough wasn't too bad but extremely filling (picture only eating 1/3 of a sandwich)

I do ask to not include the pineapple majority of the time now and a few of the other options, it was a phone order and I had not been there before so when they asked if I really wanted all the veggies I didn't think there would be so much on offer and just said yes please.

After going there a few times and doing a few phone orders I am very happy with the food they offer.

The pretzels are yum, the soup is delicious and the sandwiches are the best in the town or in region I should say as a lot of towns can't match. The ice-cream is nice but I prefer homemade but for a bakery it's pretty good and definitely better than a lot of supermarket brands.

We have dined in and taken away. The staff are friendly and polite. The service can be a bit slow during peak hour but that is testimony to how great the food is. The tables are always clean.

The pricing is reflective of the quality but in this day and age prices are what they are nothing is...

Someone once said if you don't stand for something you will fall for anything! It never ceases to amaze me that now when people in our country stand up for what they believe is right and wrong they get abused by people who don't agree with them. What is this really all about? What happened to free speech and respect for each individual? We seem to have a situation where it appears to me that the minority is ruling rather than the majority. Is it really necessary to lodge boycott when someone merely shares their opinion? Does this mean now that we no longer have a free speech in this country and we have to be beholden to being bullied and cajoled by those that don't agree with us. I would suggest that rather than a boycott that you go and have coffee at this this lovely bakery and experience their friendly excellent service and products for yourselves and chill out and stop trying to have us all conform to your ideas by abuse and shouting us down if what you believe is so good why do you have to try to shove it down our neck! I would prefer to be swallowing nice coffee and cakes at...
