Ordered a chicken fillet burger which I've had numerous times, took 2 bites and the patty tasted so much like fish. Even gave it to my partner to try who was convinced it was also fish. We took the burger back to the drive through and politely told the staff member the issue. She got the manager (whose name was nakea, which we had to ask another staff member for as no one was wearing name tags). The manager was so rude as soon as we expressed what was wrong. She laughed at us and said there is no way the patty was fish since they don't sell fish burgers. Even if this is the case, that's fine, but 1) can you be sure your supplier didn't mix up chicken and fish somewhere else in the supply chain and even if this isn't a possibility, 2) you should still be apologising for the burger not tasting right and not up to the standard or quality we paid for. She kept laughing and asked what we wanted her to do about it. I asked if I could just get a cheeseburger instead and she hesitated before telling us it means she will doubling up on lost product?? We pointed out that the chicken burger i paid for cost more than the cheeseburger I was asking for! She responded 'I'll do it for you this time' then told us to go wait in the car park. After some time, a young guy called Ryan got sent out and brought us the cheeseburger. We asked him for the managers name and told him about the situation and he was really lovely and apologetic. He showed far more management qualities than the actual manager! Overall we are really disappointed that a place we frequent had such bad service. We understand sometimes there are issues with products and we weren't looking to complain about the burger at all, we just wanted it changed and were polite about this. The fact the manager didn't once apologise but instead laughed at us is pretty poor. Also the fact she made it seem like she couldn't exchange our burger and never offered a refund for the burger we had paid more for was unreasonable. Lastly, the fact she couldn't even take accountability to finish dealing with us and sent over a junior staff member at the end is also disappointing. Thanks to Ryan for picking up the slack for...

Carl’s Jr. Eagleby is my go-to when I’m craving a juicy, American-style burger. It’s conveniently located just off the M1, so it’s perfect for a quick bite when heading between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The restaurant itself is clean and spacious, with plenty of booth seating and a chill, relaxed vibe. Every time I’ve visited, the staff have been friendly and efficient — they usually bring the food right to your table, which is a nice touch for a fast-food joint.
The burgers here are the real highlight. I tried the Famous Star and the Western Bacon Cheeseburger — both were packed with flavour, the meat had that signature chargrilled taste, and the buns were fresh and soft. They’re definitely more premium-tasting than your usual fast-food burgers. The Crunch Burger was a fun surprise too — chips inside a burger? Weirdly delicious.
The fries were crispy, and the hand-scooped milkshakes are worth the calories (try the chocolate one — rich and creamy). Prices are a bit on the higher side, especially if you order via delivery apps, but in-store it’s more reasonable.
My only real complaint is that the food can be inconsistent depending on how busy it is. Once or twice, I got lukewarm fries or a slightly dry bun, but that’s rare. Also, keep in mind that weekends can get busy, so the wait time may be a little longer.
Overall, Carl’s Jr. Eagleby delivers a satisfying burger experience with solid service. It’s not gourmet, but it’s definitely a cut above the usual fast-food chains. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area or need a quick feed on...
Read moreThis could be the single worst takeaway in south east Queensland. A simple order of 4 $3 6 nugget boxes and sauce turn in to an unbelievable tale of woe.
After giving the order and the sauces we required we were asked if we would like sauces with them.
To my surprise the lady at the window still confused with the order thrust the eftpos machine out while a frizzy haired clown handed the bag of food to us, upon driving away we discovered only 3 or the 4 nugget boxes in the bag and as we drove back around we check the payment to see what we'd be charged for..
A payment of $26 had been taken for the 4 $3 nugget boxes 👀👀👀👀👀👀
We let the girl know we were a box short and frizzy said yeah we only gave you 3..
I then queried the 4x$3 somehow adding upto $26 and they asked what we had ordered 🤔😐😐😐😐 and said it would be easier to give a refund for the whole lot and recharge us..
I'm going to assume it was a manager that come to the window and he swung the machine out for the refund and as I beeped the machine I noticed $23.80 on the screen and he then said that he needed the other machine to refund us and he had by mistake charged us a second time for someone else meal.
He come back with a second machine and a total of $47.80 as a refund for the $26 and $23.80 he'd just charged me.. Yup that doesn't add up either... 👀👀👀
Then charged me $12 for the nuggets.
Outstanding failures rarely...
