When ordering our food, two ladies behind the counter approached my friend who has a son with disability very rudely about bringing outside food for her son. My friend was happy to show her disability card for her son as he has autism, and the service and response was absolutely disgusting. We had also bought meals and drinks from here. She felt very humiliated. The two ladies at the counter had said that the manger would remove them due to outside food. I asked to speak to the manager and said that we are still buying food and drinks here and her son has a disability. I also mentioned that they are breaking the Discrimination Disability Act of continually arguing back that no food can be bought outside. I responded saying that if a child is diagnosed with austim and can not eat, then to shame her and when she tried to show the ladies refused to see the disability card, this is a breach and I am happy to take this matter further. The lady then responded with "whatever" and said " oh we only now know he has a disability". They did not acknowledge the situation and still tried to argue. They did not get their manager.
I understand it's a business but to then humiliate someone who has a son with autism who is trying to live in a world and not to mention we still bought food (breakfast meals) and drinks giving them business and yet still receive horrible service is...
Read moreI order with a lady wearing a mask (only mention as it may of added to the situation.)
Went up to order brunch, decided on the butterscotch pancakes. As I order she asked "Are you okay with both cream and ice cream?" I asked again as it was hard to hear with the mask. Same response, "Are you okay with both cream and ice cream?" I said yes.
I will add, I did not ask for cream, I assumed wrong in her asking as was cream or ice cream okay. My issue was with the misleading way I was asked. I did not want the cream nor did I eat it.
Then I see a $1 surcharge for cream with the meal.
The meal came with ice cream (on the menu) but the way she put it, didn't articulate it was an extra, usually they say "would you like added cream?"
This to me felt like she was trying to mislead me and over charge.
I will not be back nor would I recommend.
The time between drinks and other meals at the table was long, as well as they cleaned by wiping all the crumbs onto the floor and not even getting the whole table between customers.
Reply: I am aware the cream was not apart of the meal. I didn't want it. The way it was spoken to me was more are you okay with either not did you want cream as an extra? .
My issue is with the misleading way I was spoken too. I understand...
Read moreVisited for the first time today. I ordered off the lunch specials menu selecting the chicken club sandwich. This came with grilled chicken, avocado, salads and cheese with Chips.
We waited some time but it was lunch time so to be expected.
When it arrived we were both starving and it looked great. Until I noticed that I’d been delivered a BLT. I called over a waitress and asked her about the order saying that I wanted the chicken club. She said she would have to speak to someone.
Another staff member came over and said sorry that the order was wrong they must have pushed the wrong button on the register. She then asked if I would like my money refunded but only the difference in the price for the lunch special and the regular menu item BLT or if I would like a piece of chicken to just put on the BLT.
By this stage my partner was halfway through his meal, I was very hungry so I said that id take the piece of chicken.
Waited another 10 mins and the chicken was delivered, laden with too much seasoning.
The meal was awful.
Very...
