Beach House Bar & Grill Loganholme — Restaurant in Logan City

Well, I have been to this restaurant numerous times in the past with my family or friends, but never again! Normally its really good, but not last Friday night it was dreadful. Seriously I would have gone somewhere else at the time, but I was desperate as I had a group of 9 people arriving and this is what I experienced. We booked a table on line for a birthday celebration and we were looking forward to the night the table was booked for Friday 30th August at 5.45pm nearly On arrival I was told to go outside as that's where I were sitting. It was the most unwelcome greeting I had ever experienced. We had expected to sit inside the restaurant as we normally do. The girl who supposedly said she was the manager wasn't manager material at all, there was no nice greeting as you'd expect, she was rude and said "you'll be sitting outside that's where you're sitting. I told her our group had expected inside the the restaurant. No, she was firm our group of 9 were sitting ourside, her tone of voice wasn't what you would expect from a so called manager. The annoying part was from the time we arrived at the restaurant there were plenty of tables empty inside. The time we left those tables inside were still available. The outside was dirty and hadn't been swept up in preparation for people to sit outside and the "MANAGER" did not come outside to see how things were. This experience did not go down well. Terrible food and service. Spent $130. The $40 shared entree got brought out after mains. When they brought out main I asked them to cancel entree and he came back with it and said they couldn’t cancel because it was ready. It was terribly bland there was no flavor the salt and pepper calamari taste like plain flour. It was also not worth $40. Had steak main meal and the medium stake was burnt and well done and they didn’t even provide a steak knife. You could tell it was actually a nice cut of meat they just don’t know how to cook steaks and don’t believe customers should be able to cut it. I looked for staff but no one was on the floor at the time. The Mexican parmy was very bland as well. Really overpriced food that tastes just bland. No staff checked if everything was okay or offered and service what so ever.

The owner must be an interior designer because the place looks beautiful but clearly they ran out of money and time and put no effort into getting half decent tasting food or chefs and spent no time on the service training of staff.

I didn’t bother telling them about the experience whilst I was there as the manager couldn’t care less about us wanting to cancel the entree after the mains were brought out so clearly he wouldn’t care less about anything else.
