Read moreWe had heard about this cafe from friends. The location was a bit unexpected but it seems they have used the space well. The cafe is very popular and people come here early for takeaway coffee. It is pet (dog) friendly. The menu is very different from a typical cafe. The items seem almost exotic and at first it can difficult to understand what certain elements are. For example, I ordered French Toast and it had some form of flavoured spun sugar on top (like Fairy Floss). It was okay, but a bit odd. I began to think that this is one of those places that is trying hard to be different. It is, but at what cost? I usually like new places but to me, this one seems to be trying too hard. I am less prone to trends if I think the food is not as good as expected. Probably the thing that really topped off the experience was a barking dog. I respect when people have well behaved dogs, but not everyone does. We have dogs, but I would never bring them to a restaurant. Now I better understand why I would not want to eat at a restaurant that has dogs. Deep down, I wanted to really like this place. However, I cannot do that. I am not the kind of person they are targeting and that is fine. I am glad that I got a...
Read moreI enjoyed it. Thank you. We were a walk in of 2 top. Seen by a waitress, not ignored but not addressed in the sense of I'm busy please give me a sec as I deal with the others. Not overly busy at the time (Wednesday 1145am-ish) but a consistent influx of customer's. When I see this a professional in hospitality of over 25yrs I know it has earned great reputation for themselves. Using the QR code to order, the new norm 🤔. Menu choices for all day brunch very good selection with options for standard fair if one requires to be plain. I had the Bratwurst Benny, My wife (in Borat voice) had the eggs your way with bacon, which she enjoyed. I would have liked a touch more seeded mustard in my hollandaise sauce, but that's personal preference. Saurkraut just a touch to sweet, but again personal preference. Overall still great food. Coffee was good, I would like it served bit hotter. But still good coffee. I actually drank it all. Book when having bigger groups to avoid disappointment and frustration, it also helps for FOH and BOH to prepare for onslaught as I believe they do get very busy on weekends. Thank you guys and girl staff of St Coco, I look forward to seeing you in the...
