7th July 2025. It has been 2 years since I reviewed âThe Dropâ at Waterford, Qld. My wife and I went there for breakfast this morning. We both wanted eggs Benny and I desired the fish roe that usually accompanies the breakfast. We got a table straight away, no waiting, wasnât busy. We started with coffee (capachinno), the coffee was very good, robust flavour and extra hot. We did not wait long for our breakfast. The meal was the same quality as we expected, BUT THEY DID NOT SERVE THE FISH ROE, BIG DISAPPOINTMENT (management, donât mess with a winning combo). The cafe is clean and cosy but lacks atmosphere, but it is in a shopping centre with no views. 8/10 Glen & Nataliya. T
This is the best cafe in Waterford. My wife and I love trying different venues for dining and experiencing âwhatâs on offerâ. The Drop is sincerely a must to try. The coffee is exceptional, just let the Barristor, usually Matt, know how hot you would like your beverage. Matt runs the front of shop and we have seen him run off his feet when they were short staffed. He served customers professionally and with a smile. Very well done Matt.
The foodâŚthe food is an experience out of this world. My wife and I have dined at âThe Dropâ on four occasions nowâŚin their busy times at the weekends and a more casual time thru the week. Darren the Chef is pleasant to talk with (non busy times). You can tell he takes pride in his food prep just by the way he speaks. His take on food prep and presentation is first class. The taste of the food is truly mind blowing. The combination of ingredients that he uses in his meals are unique. All I request is that the locals get behind âThe Dropâ, ensuring that the area will always have a first rate place to eat at. Management please consider a loyalty card for the regular coffee drinkers. Great work The Drop Glen and Nataliya. T Very well done to the lads...
Read moreFor the new cafe on the block you would expect some teething issues and yes this feedback was provided to the owner. I'm not too sure they appreciated the feedback though. We were given menus and when I asked, was advised everything on the menu was available all day. It turns out this isn't the case. The 2 items we wanted had actually been removed from the menu. The young wait staff was lovely and advised that they had been unavailable for more than 2 weeks. I suggested they cross those items out or advise when giving the menus that they aren't available. When I mentioned this I was told that it will be changed next week. As a first time patron, I would take note of what your customers are suggesting so that this kind of thing doesn't continue to happen. Food wise, my partners eggs were cooked as described and she enjoyed the avo on toast. My breakfast burger was confused. The lettuce needs to be substituted for spinach and if you're adding tomatoes to a breakfast burger, fry them. It was as if it didn't know if it was a hamburger or a bacon egg roll. I would have preferred it to be more like a breakfast item when eating it at breakfast. Overall, there are 3 cafes in this complex so more needs to be done to stand out then just looking better...
Read moreEasy parking. Coffee, foods and services are ok. But Donât expect a incredibly awesome atmosphere. Itâs just located at local business centre, just beside the entrance of Coles supermarket. They donât have a popuchino in their menu but they have a loctose free milk for dog. It was $3, not free but they provided a lot. If it compares with the coffee club, almost triple amount. Breakfast platter for two was good enough for two and good price. I stopped for breakfast before going to the Tygum Park for walking with my dog. Anyway itâs good to have many good restaurants opening in my suburb Loganlea. I will try again soon...
