Longreach RSL Memorial Services Club — Restaurant in Longreach

I went to the RSL for dinner last night with my family. Absolutely rotten service was given from the bistro staff, we had ordered our food before this couple, who were obviously locals. Now they ordered an entreè and mains. Yet still got both their entreès and their mains before we had received our mains. We had ordered well before these people. It clearly shows that this RSL serves the locals first, which is wrong. I mean if you were spending a good $150 to $200 on dinner or any food for that matter, wouldn't you want your food asap? With good customer service? Not just "here is your food"? Now the food all came out wrong, as well as being very slow coming out. My Mum had ordered a rump steak, and had received a porterhouse. Now having to wait literally a good 40mins for the food to come out, and the kitchen closing in 10mins, she didnt think there was much point in changing her food to the right order, to just have to wait another 40mins. I definitely know that I would. I think both the customer service and the staff needs to improve at this RSL. Now last time I had gone to the RSL the food was amazing!! The customer service was great! Hence why I eent back. But I I will not be coming back to this RSL especially because they care more about the locals then they do the customers and...

I was passing through town and me and the family were hungry so I decided to stop in for a meal. I got a parmy, the wife got chips and the kids got chips also, for starters my parmy was cold and had very minimal toppings. The worst part of my experience at the Longreach RSL was the absolutely horrible bar tender Hamish Hart, I got a beer which was nice and cold but my wife wanted a gin and tonic, to my disbelief my wife told me he had put no tonic in the glass, it was just gin. One of the most disappointing RSLs I’ve ever been to, VP of the club is extremely unpleasant and made me and my mates feel entirely unwelcome within 5 minutes of walking in, shocking behaviour from an adult. The atmosphere of the building is fantastic if you want to introduce your children to gambling, cannot walk anywhere in the building without seeing and hearing the pokies.
