Two of us came here for lunch. The waitress was very nice and understanding and I gave her 5 stars. It was nice to sit in the sun out the back, with grapevines hanging over the pergola. To improve the ambience, they could cover the cement wall, decorate the back shed, hide the messy yard behind the boundary fence, and develop the back garden more. My companion had the fish and chips with side salad. The fish was enormous, but had a slight 'fishy' taste. Perhaps another type of fish other than hoki would be better. The side salad was good, but could have had a bit more flavour. My Asian chicken salad was not worth the $25 but more like $13. It had some nice flavours in it, but the chopped vegetables (red cabbage etc.) were in truth a little dry and there wasn't enough dressing on it, only a tiny amount. There wasn't anywhere near enough chicken on it for $25, either, but almost enough for a lunch meal, and it could have been slightly moister. It seemed like the ingredients of this dish had been sitting around in the fridge for a while. The coffee wasn't bad and the cake was very nice. I think this is a nice place, but perhaps they can up their game a little in the...
Read moreI stopped by The Table Cafe for a quick lunch and had a great experience. The cafe has a nice atmosphere, and the staff are incredibly friendly, making you feel genuinely welcome. I ordered a banh mi since I was in a bit of a hurry. While it was tasty, I have to say that with my eyes closed, it felt more like a chicken sandwich than a traditional banh mi. I missed the buttery pâté, the soy or Vietnamese seasoning on the meat, and even the pickled daikon that gives banh mi its signature flavour. Still, it was enjoyable, just not quite what I expected. Despite that, I’m keen to return and try their other dishes—they seem like a very popular spot. There’s also plenty of seating available both inside and outside, making it a comfortable...
Read moreIt was our first time going to The Table Cafe since having the new owners and we weren’t disappointed. We ordered a selection of starters and were absolutely full of great tasting food by the end of our meal.
The arancini balls 🤤 delicious and the popcorn cauliflower with the dipping sauce was next level. The pork belly and spring rolls were good, however it was the bruschetta with crispy bread, basil pesto and the cherry tomatoes that was the best. I highly recommend making bruschetta again in the future with homegrown tomatoes and it will be even better.
The feedback we had regarding evening minimal: date the bottles of open wine, have some cooling on in the main cafe area and perhaps cold or cool bottles of...
