Blueberries Smoothie & Health Bar — Restaurant in Maclean

First of all, not so healthy, I ordered a bacon and egg roll and a banana smoothie, now you would think that it's not difficult to mess up a bacon and egg roll, it's not rocket science right? however I sat down, the roll, which I might add, was pre-cooked, the bun was burnt and definitely over cooked, why would you serve that, secondly, the banana smoothie may as well have been a glass of milk and ice cream, now I get that bananas are a little expensive, but really... pick up your game. I will not be back and neither will my friends.

Regards Sick and tired of paying for lazy staff, who can't be bothered to do this the correct way.

Update: 5th April 2025... I posted the review above 4 months ago and only received the response 3 weeks ago from the owner: Very sorry for ypur bad experience. We do make the Bacon & Egg Rolls fresh each day The Banana smoothie is made from real Bananas and frozen yoghurt not ice cream Again sorry you didnt have a nice experience i only wish you could of expressed your disappointment to us personally so we could fix the problem. We also do have more healthy options available.

My reply is, as much as I appreciate that you are sorry that I didn't have a nice experience, I did express my disappointment to your staff about the egg and bacon roll, you say that the egg and bacon rolls are fresh daily, however they were pre cooked and pre wrapped. As I stated, the roll was burnt and overcooked, I returned to show your staff, I then ask for my money back, I did drink the smoothie however I was disappointed with that also. I would never let my staff serve a burnt meal, as I said it's not difficult to make an egg and bacon roll.

As I said, I do appreciate the apology, but to be honest, I'm sick of the poor service and quality of meals that seems to be the norm these days, it's just not acceptable. Dogs. They shouldn't be allowed up in the patio area. If I don't want to eat near a dog I shouldn't have to sit inside. Someone actually let their dog stand on the table! If a person went in there and put their feet up on the table I'm sure they'd have something to say... One of the staff patted a dog and then actually went back to preparing food without washing her hands!! Gross! The bacon and egg roll I had was clearly microwaved as it was soggy on top and hard and dry on the bottom. The egg and the bacon were very dry as well. Pretty foul all up. Didn't/couldn't finish it. Your bacon and egg rolls may not be microwaved, but they most certainly are disgusting! I do actually like dogs btw and you may be pet friendly, but dogs shouldn't be standing on tables! Also disgusting! Your staff member that patted a dog and didn't wash her hands, may not "prepare" food, but WORKS with food. Yeah, disgusting!
