Maffra Community Sports Club — Restaurant in Maffra

We recently celebrated our daughters wedding reception in the function room upstairs. The space was perfect offering a great dance floor area, a indoor seating area for meals and conversation without competing with the music. The large balcony comes with automatic blinds, fans and heaters, overlooks the very picturesque Main Street of Maffra. The area has its own bar, kitchen and lovely new bathrooms. The area has been renovated beautifully, retaining it country pub rustic feel. The management were very helpful and open to our ideas around decorations for the wedding. We were able to use the same space for our dinner rehearsal and have plenty of time to set up our decorations while enjoying them at the same time. To hire this venue is sooo affordable. The management and staff were incredibly supportive during the pandemic, as the wedding date had to be shifted several times. Our cook Emma put together a spectacular menu of canapés. The food was so tasty, plentiful and staggered perfectly throughout the night. All our guests raved about the food, Emma managed to accommodate everybody’s favourites and the presentation was lovely. We were very happy with our choice of venue and confidently recommend it for others. The staff seemed genuinely excited to be hosting our wedding and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. First of all I never give 5 stars to anyone, but MCSC deserves it, lets discuss:

The new management has created a section - "Barrel & Bliss". The club has effectivly shared the idea of a Spanish Tapas, not just through style, but through the excellent staff service, high quality dishes and reasonable prices for meals and deserts. The Bistro, ratherly busy and fully booked quite frequently, the Bistros prices are excellent given the current economy, the dishes are top tier and you definitly recieve more than what you pay for. The staff at the club. Upon entering, we are welcomed by a Host who directed us to our seats to a clean and lined table, well above my expectations for sure. Bathrooms, they were clean and not crowded.

We had a car club run to Maffra yesterday. Lunch was at the Maffra s Sporting and Community Club. I ordered shortly after our arrival. We had not been here before so we were looking forward to a nice lunch. The pub's refurbishing is excellent and we thought we would be in for a real treat. I don't actually know what happened to our order but it took at least three quarters of an hour. People on our same table who ordered just before us were served within 15 minutes and l wrongly assumed our meals would be right behind theirs but not so.
