The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, and we have been loyal customers for years. One standout dish is the crispy noodles, which are absolutely fantastic. The pippies with xo sauce were decent, although I found the Chinese donut to be lacking the desired level of crispiness. Perhaps the restaurant's location has contributed to it being less busy. However, the area where they can definitely improve is the service. The staff member who usually serves us has always been friendly in the past, but on this particular visit, it seemed like he was either disinterested in his job or having a bad day. There was no interaction, no eye contact, and no smile. Despite our politeness and multiple expressions of gratitude, we received no response or acknowledgement. It was a bit disappointing and felt somewhat rude. Fortunately, the quality of the food is great.

Amazing claypot rice experience in the local suburbs. Reminds me of my time in Vietnam in the middle region but could do with a bit more sauce to glaze that crispy charred rice bits. Loved all 3: - Black pepper beef (4.5/5) - Seafood combo (4.5/5) - Eel, mushroom and chinese sausage (4/5) Flavours were spot on but would love more meat to rice ratio for the eel (wouldn’t mind paying more). Tip: leave the rice in position for a while before mixing to get that crispy result and to avoid burning your tongue like I did. Very swift service despite the rush. $15 for a bowl of hearty goodness so cannot complain there. Definitely will be back. Food: 4.25/5 Value: 3/5 Ambience: 3/5 Service: 3.5/5

One of the best local eats in St Albans. If you love burnt rice this is the place to be. The food here is always consistent with their specialty being Claypot rice. Favourites at this restaurant is the Prawn XO sauce ClayPot rice 9/10 The Prawn Suicao Soup is very delicious also 8.4/10 Be sure to add their special chilli sauce to any meal as its very unique and adds a fantastic kick to your already flavourful dishes. I always love to enjoy my meal with a jug of sugar cane juice. Overall 8.3/10

Stir-fried rice noodles with beef beef was too soft and flavourless possibly due to being marinated with too much baking soda “wok hey” was just alright as the stove was not strong enough, and some noodles remained sticked to each other seasoning is bland and bean sprout is completely tasteless, but thankfully the complimentary chilli sauce was tasty

Clay pot rice with minced pork and salted fish low quality salted fish, hence with a strong ammonia-like scent minced pork was alright but seasoning was again, bland, and was not “hit” to become “gluey” before steaming rice was not aromatic, but the crispy crust was well done, and for this reason I will come back, just for the...
