I celebrated a friend’s birthday at Ancient Memories in Brunswick East—a laid‑back, late‑night gem blending vibrant Egyptian and Middle Eastern flavours. The atmosphere—from plush lounge seating and shisha to lively belly‑dancing made the evening feel special. The menu offered tasty small plates, halal food. Although the prices are a bit high They took really some time to cook them. Staff was welcoming instead of one guy who became angry when we moved a sofa. despite the buzz of music and celebrations. It felt both exotic and casual‑cool—an ideal spot for groups seeking flavourful food, relaxed energy, and memorable entertainment in a unique Melbourne setting. Chicken parmaa was great, mix platter was kinda ok. Mint drink was a disaster. It was just a shake of mint leaves in water. Sheesha was the highlight. We had mango and other was apple with mint. I recommend this place for light food and sheesha.

One of the often visited places for hanging out with friends. Promising location with late-night opening availability. You will get ample parking around the location depending on the rush. The food they serve is in good portions reasonable pricing with higher quality. I highly recommend the special hot beverages that they have on their menu, which are authentic and enough for a person to get filled. The place is a great way to spend time with friends, however, some days you feel crowded and noisy. They have shisha availability and weekly entertainment activities as well. It is a must-visit place in Melbourne with good ambiance shisha and food.

Arab Inspired Sheesha place and this is why it is named as Ancient memories. Best day to visit is saturday night when they have those cheer girls to cheer you up while you having sheesha. An inexpensive place so won’t breaking your wallet. Looks very fancy but is not that expensive. From their owner to people working inside every single person is lovely. A must go place.

Went in on Chrustmas day. for a lunchtime snack. My friend said that her falafel were the nicest she'd evef tasted. We also loved the fried broccoli and the babaganoush. I was slighty disappointed with the Om Ali dessert. ( I love Om Ali.) It was nice, but I thought it was too stuffed with dried fruit and as a result a little too dry. We were ( understandably on Christmas day) the only ones there and had been slightly concerned before visiting after reading some poor reviews vis a vis cleanliness. The reviews were rubbish! The toilets were spotless - couldn't have been cleaner, so that was good. The smell of shisha is all pervasive ( it is after all a shisha bar) and the decor may not be to everyone's taste, but it was a fun visit, the snacks were delicious and the service was really goodand friendly ( albeit that we were the...

We came for dinner and shisha. We ordered by shisha and food at the same time. We got the shisha which was okay but had to wait ages between coal changers. We waitted much longer for then needed for our foodn When it arrived it was disappointing. Definitely over priced for what you get. When you order a mixed grill it should automatically come with sauce. It didn't so sauce was extra. However the sauce was nice. The meat and kefta were extremely dry. Chicken was succulent and chips were warm not hot. My friend ordered the fish and it was literally the like the fish fillets you get from the supermarket. Just two popped on the plate with sides.

The staff were nice when they did come out, but I won't be...
