Located on Lygon, amongst the rustling busy streets is The Beast. With specials throughout the week; $1.00 wing Wednesday is a crowd pleaser and a great place to catch up over some good music and great food. My friends and I have turned $1.00 wings into a weekly catchup. Super affordable for everyone even those with dietary requirements! Vegan options for wings included for the same retail price as the chicken, so no matter who you come with, everyone is bound to have a great time! Edit: catchups have again proven how amazing this joint is. The burgers are next level! Not one I can fault; especially for a good hangover cure. Butchers platter is a divine add, along with the cocktails. They have switched up the wing batter recipe, and for that they have really lifted the game. Each serving is fresh, rather than coming from a bain-marie which to me is insane; that such good food for so cheap and yet no shortcuts are taken. The boozy milkshakes go ham; one of the bar tenders got me onto them and I haven't stopped ordering them since. I feel like its a burden ordering them as they arent the most basic spirit poured drink. Nice and open space, great for us anxiety pals. Drinks are wicked, and who can deny wings šŸ’—

The B.East is one of awesome qualty hamburgeršŸ” place in Melbourne. My son was super hungry that night and demanded to go McDonald's which I never take him. He was nagging so I promised to go after visited herešŸ˜„...nah, just sayingšŸ˜‰ The B.East was my long time wish list to go. I rarely eat hamburger but I bookmark here for boys to try one day. I ordered the biggest hamburger searched from the their Google photo. The staff guessed and order one to takeaway too but I still don't know the name of huge hamburgeršŸ˜… According to my son, it had mac & cheese, fried chicken, beef patty, bacon, sliced cheese and salad. It was filling and he said way heaps more better than McDonald's🤣 Also order the milkshake for him and kindly staff brought one and extra left in the shake cup🤩 Thank you so much😘😘😘 They fulfilled my son's tummy and he said he can eat the big one only when he is super hungry. We happily went straight to homešŸ”šŸ˜Š Next day, he ate another one as soon as he finished his schoolšŸ˜‹ I better order more!

we ordered the ron swanson, the chief and the mac n’ cheese bombs/balls. the mac n’ cheese balls were definitely the highlight, being that they were so generously filled and cheesy !! they really had a certain nostalgia about them. the atmosphere was also perfect, with the cosy, decorated walls. it wasn’t boisterous considering it was busy, and they had a large selection of games to choose from (uno, operation, jenga, and more). as for the burgers, i had the chief and the brisket filling itself was really lovely. i did feel as though the flavour lacked and could have been amped up with a barbecue sauce and sharper cheese maybe - they were also a but skimpy on the pickles, which in my opinion is the best part of a burger!! the ron swanson was delicious though, certainly loaded with all the right toppings and that sweet, maple-y bacon. will definitely come back šŸ˜—

I came here to see Elektronik Girl Epic, and seeing as the show was free, decided I’d like to support the venue too, so booked in for dinner. I wasn’t super excited about visiting another burger restaurant, but I just wanted to have a good night regardless. What happened next surprised me. The burgers had a crisp but juicy patty, cheese was really good, sauce was really good, and they didn’t fall apart when we ate them. Chips were crunchy and well-seasoned, and the choice of sauces was phenomenal. This has to be up there with the best burgers in Melbourne. They also have all the alcohols, including really delicious cocktails. The environment is also really nice, like, it gets buisy but you always have your own space, which is refreshing for Melbourne. They use QR codes but disappointingly you have to go to the bar to order, I wish you could just order at your table. The only other downside was the weird soap in the toilets that was like water, which was confusing. But really, I don’t want these two tiny points to colour the rest of my review, because it is a really great restaurant and venue. All of the staff were into the music, and after visiting I wanted to go to more shows there. But alas, I looked at what was coming up and it all looked kinda middle of the road. I would love to see more electronic stuff on there, and I think the venue was really suited to this kind of music. I hope that they continue to support edgier, and less mainstream music, because the combo of a great burger, drinks, and a show really made for a great night. Would definitely...

Horrible. We sat down around 7:15pm and by the time we were ready to order they had told us they had ran out of beef. How does a burger joint run out of beef at 7:30pm when they close at 11pm. No apology. Just casually told us when we had to walk up and order it as if its a common occurrence. We then tried to order one of their overpriced drinks, and then they told us they had ran out of that too. Almost charged me extra for the chicken patty when I told them to just replace the usual beef option with chicken. In what world is chicken more expensive than beef? By the time the food came out it was pretty mediocre. Overly cheesy fries with hardly any chilli. Burgers were mediocre and the cocktail I bought was horrible. Didn't even finish it.

Service was just as bad. One menu to share across 4 people. Left a baby seat at our desk for no reason. No table service. Have to walk up to the bar to order. And you only get told at the bar that they had run out of everything, including the signature ingredient of a burger joint. Brain...
