My recent visit to BBQ Lounge, a Pakistani restaurant, left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. The overall experience was marred by excessively long waiting times for our food and subpar service.
First and foremost, the waiting time for our food was absolutely unacceptable. We arrived at the restaurant with high hopes of enjoying a delicious Pakistani meal, but little did we know that we would be subjected to an agonizingly long wait. Despite being seated promptly, we ended up waiting for an unreasonable amount of time, causing immense frustration and hunger among our party.
Adding to our disappointment, the service at BBQ Lounge was subpar at best. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, showing no sense of urgency in attending to our needs. It was evident that they lacked proper training in customer service. Not only did they fail to provide timely updates on the status of our order, but they also neglected to address our concerns or offer any compensation for the inconvenience caused by the extensive wait.
To further exacerbate the situation, the lackluster service was coupled with a general lack of hygiene. The tables were not adequately cleaned, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. This further added to our disappointment and made us question the restaurant's commitment to maintaining a pleasant dining environment.
The experience at BBQ Lounge was not only disheartening but also a waste of our time and money. We had high expectations for a memorable dining experience, but unfortunately, all we encountered were long waits, poor service, and a lack of cleanliness. It is disheartening to see such potential go to waste due to mismanagement and negligence.
I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback for the management of BBQ Lounge. Improvements in service efficiency, training, and cleanliness are necessary to ensure a satisfactory experience for future patrons. Read moreHad a terrible experience last week at this restaurant, my friend and I asked the waitress who was quite rude and unwelcoming form the start if the butter chicken had any nuts in it as I have anaphylaxis, we asked her maybe 4 or 5 times if she was sure and told her about my allergy and she assured us that it was fine and that there was no nuts in the dish. Sure enough when it came I could tell after a few bites that something was off and I didn't feel great, we then asked again if there was any nuts in the dish she repeatedly told us that there wasn't even after we expressed the importance of knowing as I could be in the beginning stages of a serious reaction. We went back to our table and a minute later after visiting the kitchen the waitress comes back and says "Cashews are fine for you right?" I honestly could not believe the incompetence of this woman, to make matters worse even when she came back and asked if I could eat cashews, I then asked her if there was cashews in the butter chicken, she then tried to lie to us and say that there wasn't and it wasn't until I told her I need to know right now because if so I need to go to the hospital and could die if I don't get there in time that she finally confirmed that the dish contained nuts. People make mistakes I understand that but this is just disgraceful, she wouldn't have even mentioned to the kitchen that I have a nut allergy and repeatedly assured me again and again that the dish was nut free and made me second guess myself and feel silly for asking again and again even though I could feel myself starting to react. We left the restaurant promptly after and I spent the night in the ER, great way to kick off the holiday season, I hope many people see this and never ever go to this joke of and embarrassment of an restaurant. After being seated, we waited an unbelievable 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food. When we finally managed to get someone’s attention, we were informed that our order hadn't even gone through the system. How does a restaurant allow such incompetence?
But the horror didn’t end there. When we brought this outrageous delay to the attention of the manager, his response was the epitome of indifference. He simply said, "Yeah, I know," and walked away without a care in the world. No apology, no attempt to make things right—just sheer, unprofessional arrogance.
When our food finally arrived, it was only half of what we ordered. The staff didn’t even bother to complete the order, leaving us with a fraction of what we had waited for over an hour and a half. Not worth the wait at all.
It's a shame because with a bit of care and competence, this could be a decent place. But unfortunately, this place fails on every level.
