If you are after absolutely westernised Asian food, this is the place to go. Honestly a disgrace to what Asian cuisine should be. My friend was a vegetarian and we asked just for the bao with a piece of tofu instead of the crab or pork. The servers had to be explained to a couple of times and the manager refused. He said it would confused the kitchen. Given this restaurant wants to be inclusive of diets and has its own 'gluten free' menu, I dont think its that hard to just replace a piece of meat with tofu for one order. So we decided to just deconstruct the bao at the table and add it in ourselves. We ordered the soft shell crab baos, vegetarian spring rolls and mapo tofu. Can you believe the mapo tofu is one of their only 2 tofu dishes available? Anyway we got the springrolls which only had 3 on the dish. These were good but surprised to get 3. Definitely need to add quantity on the menu. The biggest shock was the baos. When you think about the flavours of Asian cuisine, whole grain mustard isn't the first thing that comes to mind but unfortunately here its the only flavour. The soft shell crab bao consisted of a raw stick of carrot, cucumber, a couple of piece of salad, the crab and mustard. They decided to flavour this dish with so much potential with mustard. The presence of the carrot was also kind of ridiculous and not thought through at all. I was so embarrassed to have been served this dish. The mapo tofu was fine and nothing fancy or stand outish about it. To make matters worse after this food experience, there was a 10% surcharge for Sundays and a card surcharge as well. May look aesthetic but some of the worst food ever. Don't go here.

We were super excited to try this place out but finishing the meal unsatisfied. The place is quite big with nice interior deco. Having some outdoor setting too. Ordering is through the ipad so pretty quick and easy. Service is ok too. The main issue was the food. Duck fried rice and Singapore noodle was very plain, just so so, not tasty at all. Char siu was very dry. Our xiao long bao was spoiled with sour meat inside. We told the manager and he sent them back to the kitchen, cancelled the dish and gave us complimentary dumpling which was still a bit sour for the meat inside but not as bad as the spoiled xiao long bao. We still couldn't eat them as feeling the meat was not very fresh at all, as if they were left over. The wonton with special chilly oil sauce and mapo tofu were better in taste and flavor. Overall, very mixed feeling after trying this place out. Probably wont be back again though due to the experience with the food.

A really good moderately priced Asian restaurant. The food was quite good. We ordered a roast duck, prawn and scallop dumplings and the crispy eggplants, plus some fried rice. While all the food items were good, the dumplings and the eggplant were the most memorable. The serving size was decent, the two of us made two meals out of the order. The menu is extensive and we struggled with deciding what we would order - everything looked great. The restaurant can be very busy, a testament of the good eatery. If you're a big group, I would recommend making a booking. We went on a Saturday evening, and it was packed. Being busy, the service was understandably a bit slower than we preferred, but it was courteous. I always missed a casual Asian restaurant in the Moonee Ponds area, and this fits the bill. It's not cheap, but not pricey either. I will go back to try more items on the menu, for sure.

We were out in Moonee Ponds shopping casually in casual clothes and we decided to have a look at the menu and asked when the closing time was to the staff at the host desk. The staff weren’t as welcoming and didn’t guide us properly. It was an extremely busy Tuesday night so we completely understood and decided to go anyways because we liked the food. The manager sat us down on the seat but didn’t offer to ask us to get us water or what water we’d like. We ordered the food and the food was brought to the table by one of the waitress, and she was very nonchalant when the brought to the table. The food was very tasty and good quality. We enjoyed the food but I ended up finding a piece of plastic from a zip lock bags in one of the soups. I showed this to the waitress and she showed concern and let her manager know. She came back and told that the manager would come talk to us. We ended up finishing up our meal and heading to the host desk to pay. The manager didn’t bother to bring up our issue and just asked for the payment directly. Then I asked him about the piece of plastic that we found in the soup. He just gaslit us by saying that it was a piece of onion peel and not plastic. I then realised that I should’ve taken a picture of it for proof, atleast to put it in the review. I was extremely disappointed that not only he didn’t bring up our issue and apologize, but he blatantly denied what the customer said. I didn’t want him to take it off the check or anything, I didn’t mind paying for the entire check especially the soup, despite me finishing most of it. I just needed an acknowledgment or even accountability for their mistake. This is extremely poor service and they’ve...

Was so looking forward to trying this place out. We loooooove dumplings and thrilled that this place popped up in our local area. But so horribly disappointed.

Unfortunately the service really let this place down.

We ordered. And we waited. Annnd waited.

We waited 20 minutes for drinks. Not even water was at our table. With 2 kids this can get a bit difficult. 40 minutes after ordering our food arrived. But only 1 of our 4 dishes. Ummm...ok so we shared the first dish.

We were hungry. It was delish dumplings... then we waited. Annnnnnd waited.

Then our second dish came... no third ... or fourth... So after eating the next dish... we waited. You get the picture?

Much much later our final dish arrived following prompts from our table. Our kids were too hungry and tired to eat their good (one of the last dishes to arrive) so we packed it to take home along with our tired HANGRY children.

The food was nice. Service sadly disappointing. We expected our dishes to arrive all at once. 4 dishes for four people... simple. Instead we waited. With hungry kids. Who ate our meals because they were hungry whilst our meals were slowly dribbled out of the kitchen ... one ... at .... a .... time.

If you can improve the service and hospitality then it’s worth a visit. But it needs a BIG fix. We hope this can be improved. In the...
