Lovely interior however breakfast service between 9-10am on our first night was appalling. They were understaffed, nobody asked us if we had dined before like they did on the last night and we were not offered a barista coffee or given a quick run through of the breakfast options and area. The tea area was overflowing with empty tea packets and dirty teacups, hot water ran out, no top ups of food, dirty tables, it was just a general mess. The next two days we learnt to have breakfast between 7-8am to avoid the rush and lack of food refills however there was still a lack of staff attending to guests and clearing tables. Variety of food was great, baked beans were lovely and plenty of vegetarian options. Upon entry the barista needs to make it clear that the coffee she is offering is not included in the breakfast, it’s a service provided at an additional cost and can be charged to the room. 3 eye fillets ordered, $64 each. One rare, one medium one well done. The rare was not rare, and chewey and hard to cut with a steak knife, inedible. The medium and well done was cooked to liking but was chewey, parents requested a better steak knife. Feedback given but only the rare was refunded for not being cooked to my liking.
