Stumbled upon Bar sur Loup, a delightful French-style cafĆ© in Balwyn, and itās truly a little gem! The owner, Ridhi, brings a warmth and charm thatās infectious. Her passion for what she does shines through and is wonderfully reflected in her staffās excellent service. The coffee here is also great, rich and perfectly brewed, a must-try for coffee lovers.
The cafĆ© itself is an aesthetic delight with a lively pink interior and a lovely outdoor terrace that complements the vibe perfectly. Itās a great spot to unwind or catch up over delicious food, and definitely worth traveling over to.
Hereās what we had, each dish a testament to the quality and care put into their preparation: š„ Salmon de lāAustralie: A beautifully balanced crepe filled with free-range egg, tender baby spinach, and richly flavored smoked Tassal salmon, complemented by a creamy side serve of hollandaise sauce ($19). Itās both hearty and refined, making it a perfect meal any time of day. š§ La Biquette: This crepe is an intriguing mix of jambon fume (prosciutto), creamy chevre, and a touch of honey for a hint of sweetness, enhanced with crunchy walnuts and fresh roquette, all drizzled with a balsamic glace ($18.5). Itās a delightful fusion of flavors that dance on the palate. š Citron Sweet Crepe: For those who love a tangy twist, this sweet crepe zings with vibrant citrus flavor, making it both refreshing and indulgently satisfying ($10.5). š§ Classic LiĆØge Waffle: Drizzled with melted Belgian chocolate and topped with fresh strawberries, this waffle is crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside, and utterly decadent ($11.5). Itās the perfect end to a delicious meal.

Ā Ā Ā Read more@barsurloup A quaint little patisserie in the heart of Balwyn North! Walked into the Parisian inspired cafe and it has a nice lovely courtyard at the back for warmer days. There was a good variety on the menu and they have crepes and specials available as well. They serve liege waffles both available in sweet and savoury options. We got to try their croque madame and I must say it was an absolute favourite. The ingredients used were of gourmet quality and the cheese in the croque was so good. We also had the La Biquette crepe and it was nicely executed, and the prosciutto went really well with the honey and walnuts. The crepe was really light and it complemented the ingredients really well. They do have Gluten Free options which does come in handy. There are ready baked goods at the front counter and gelatos available as well. Would love to be back to try the dessert crepe as they do have quite a few...
