Love this place, the decor, the food, the service all brilliant!!

Came here on a Friday at 1130hrs and already 3 tables were occupied. We had the option of ordering via our phone (scanning QR code) or going up to the counter.

Everything looked good on the menu so we had to get recommendations from the staff and he described everything so well that made it even harder for us to decide. In the end we got the Nasi Gudeg ($18.80 + $1 for turmeric rice) and the Lontong Cap Gomeh ($18.80). The prices are a bit on the higher side unfortunately. The meat was so tender, it just fell apart and melts in our mouth! For drinks we both ordered the Indonesian coffee with condensed milk ($3.80 + 1) and it came with a little pot each that we could have shared.

For dessert we ordered the chendol ($6.80) and bubur ketan hitam ($7.80). I preferred my chendol melted so should have asked for a straw to drink it but I enjoyed it regardless, there was jackfruit in it which I wasn't expecting but it complemented the drink rather well.

The seatings against the wall were all booths but had privacy screens, so even though you're close to the person behind, you can't really see or hear them. Each seat also has a charging point so I could easily spend a few hours here eating and drinking while working...

Edited: Went again after a long time. I noticed the menu has expanded like four times bigger! Tried their cwie mie. Not that I know what cwie mie supposed to taste like, it was just ok, I probably wouldnt get it again. Generous amount of noodles but not enough pickled veggies, and definitely need a sambal on the side. Perkedel jagung was very crispy, tasted ok. Gado gado was ok, cant say it’s amazing. Been here twice. I like the decorations, it’s cute like a cafe. Price is on pricier side (each dishes is more than $15). Tried their lontong cap gomeh which was beautiful and had nice variety and balance in the dish, also had their nasi gudeg & sate ayam. Nasi gudeg was okay but krecek wasn’t great so probably wouldn’t get it again. Sate ayam was beautiful! The sauce was so yummy! Es soda gembira was very nice. Their tahu isi was beautiful when eaten with the pickles that came with it. Their eggplant balado is nice & spicy. Opt for mild one if you cant tolerate high spicy level. Bubur ketan hitam was not my fave. Biji salak was really really salty. Would love to come back and try more dishes. So nice to have Indonesian restaurant...

I ordered the Chicken Satay with Yellow Rice today and was extremely disappointed. The chicken pieces were dark, hard, and had a strange smell to them – it honestly put me off eating. I’ve had satay at many places before and never experienced anything like this.

It’s quite upsetting to spend money on food that you can’t even eat. What’s even more surprising is that I ordered the Beef Rendang last week and it was really good, so I expected the same quality today.

I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, as I would expect better quality and care in preparing meals for customers. This experience has really made me question whether to order again.

‐‐-------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for taking the time to respond. I’ll be dining in within the next few days, and if the food tastes different, I’ll remove my review.

Please note that the meal was consumed immediately after delivery. While there may be a gap in service when selling through platforms like DoorDash, I believe the responsibility for maintaining food quality still rests with your team. Looking forward to...

We had it for dinner. I ordered 2 sides for $17.8, tahu isi and crispy wing spicy. The tofu is not something I would order again, it has the bamboo shoot, it’s smelly and it’s oily. The chicken wing is so so, the chilli is more sweet than spicy, doesn’t look the same as the one on the menu. Lontong cap go meh is a bit watery. That’s also so so. The nasi penyet with duck, it’s just normal, the duck is moist but the meat is too soft and a bit smelly. The yellow rice is not that tasty. The chilli is good. The bakso campur is also so so. The bakso goreng and wonton is good. Overall, to me the food is a bit overrated. I am expecting more than that in term of taste. The place is nice, clean, and many parking. The table is a bit small, I hit the leg of the table. The service is good. They told us that there will be weekend surcharge 10% if you ordered to the waiter, but no surcharge if you order through online or their order machine.
