In area and many Cafes to choose from but liked European vibe of this place. Interesting menu with dishes hadn't seen in other places and both husband and I tried. He had Italian omelette while I had pumpkin, mushrooms, falafel and hummus on multigrain toast, which was delicious! We also had coffees (flat white and soy latte). I liked the decor of this place too but what I didn't like was that on their menu, if you order sides only, with each on average costing $5, you're charged an extra $1.50. This is the third Cafe I've been to who charge you an extra cost on top of the item. So I say either incorporate this cost into the price charged or better yet don't charge it. Something off and unnecessary about it.

This seaside café has stood the test of time, carrying with it the stories and memories of the town. Whenever I go hiking along the coast, it has become my regular stop for rest and refreshment. Stepping inside, I’m always welcomed by the staff’s genuine smiles and warm greetings, as if reuniting with old friends. The food here is not only delicious but also feels like the most comforting reward along the journey. Modest yet full of charm, this little café is truly a hidden gem of the town—each visit brings a new sense of joy and satisfaction.

French toast is mehhh… I have seen and tasted better so I don’t recommend it’s actually quite disappointing . Not a single greeting or smile on any of the staff faces - not very friendly , not a good morning vibe . Don’t order the matcha latte is tasteless , half of it it’s iced filled , it’s diluted . Piccolo cafe is good . Egg Benedict is good but can look messy looks like minced chorizo , could have sliced them up instead . A lot to improve for what was expected but undelivered . Disappointed overall.

Initially I was greeted with some good service. I walked in with my partner, and was in search of a table for 8. They were able to provide it to us immediately and I was pretty impressed.

However, this was the only positive thing I can say about this place. I ordered the cevapi and a rosè and my partner ordered the calamari salad and an iced coffee. Due to the surcharge on a public holiday, these four items cost $75! The food did not reflect the pricing and the serving sizes weren't generous. The sausages were average at most, the bread it came with was rock hard and not enjoyable, but the relish it came with wasn't bad. The salad was a bit sad and there were maybe five pieces of lettuce and two or three cherry tomatoes and that was it.

The calamari salad my partner ordered, was very small in size and he didn't get very full. The chips and calamari were dry and did not satisfy his hunger. The iced coffee, was what seemed like a 250ml glass, and could almost be finished in a single sip which was disappointing.

My other family members ordered the paella, which had some strands of hair in it and was missing the chorizo. The grilled calamari was drenched in sweet chilli sauce and you could barely taste the actual calamari.

In conjunction to this, the waiting times for these meals was close to an hour, it was almost 45 minutes and for the quality of the food, it was just not acceptable. The staff appeared stressed despite the fact that it wasn't busy. Overall, it was a very average experience to say the most, and I wouldn't...

Absolutely terrible.....went for a coffee this morning and planned to stay for brunch. We were directed to a table by an indifferent waiter.....the couple in the table next to us were complaining about the wait time so we thought we would just order a coffee to see how things went. Ordered 2 Cold brew coffees.....arrived quickly but they were served in the smallest glasses possible and filled to the brim with ice. My husband had 2 mouthfuls of coffee due to the amount of ice in the glass, I asked for a splash of soy in mine, it would have been no more than 5ml but I was charged an extra 50c for it! So all in all we paid $10.50 for to 2 glasses of ice topped up with a tiny bit of weak cold brew. Total rip off and the waiter and cafe could not care less! Walked over the road to another cafe and got a decent coffee! Plenty of other choice in there area so take your...
