This is sad for me as we have been going to this Mexican for years and it was run by the previous owner Jo. A woman who knew her clients, had time to come talk to them and the food was beautiful. After 20 years in the business Jo has left and there are now new owners. In the spirit of supporting local business we ate there a month ago and was bitterly disappointed. Poor service and the quality of the food was certainly not what l had been used to. I put it down to teething problems and ventured there again tonight with an even poorer result. Poor service, barely enough cheese on the nachos, (lets say just a plate of corn chips) forgot to make half our meals and a waiter who chose to wait beside my friend to finish his meal so he could take his plate. Unprofessional to say the least. Tonight l made my feelings known with poor excuses and an owner who chose to take phone calls whilst l was addressing this issue and paying the bill. We are not wanting free food but for the price that Mexican costs at the very least get it right. The apology was very lukewarm and it is evident your business is suffering as there was nobody in the restaurant. This was a busy thriving business that you found hard to get into on a Saturday night. What a shame...you will never see us there ever again. Good luck you're...
Read moreMy family has been eating here for over 20 years and ever since the new management has taken over, the portion sizes have gotten noticeably smaller, and prices have continued to increase. Every time we have ordered since the new management, it has gotten progressively worse. First we noticed the rice changed, which wasn’t too bad but not preferable. Then they kept getting our orders wrong which is understandable on busy nights for new owners, but then it just kept happening. Now the frijoles have also changed and they taste like they’ve been boiled in fish water, which I wouldn’t even feed to my dogs. After giving them multiple chances to redeem themselves, we have decided we’re better off driving an extra 30 minutes to go to Nachos Cantina in Aspendale. We are truly disappointed that they have unnecessarily changed so much about what we’ve always loved about Taco...
Read moreWhat a great deal for a ‘Half Price Taco Tuesday’. If you’re wanting a quick ‘Snack’ whilst sitting outside in the sunshine. Instead of $18 for the Supreme Tacos, it was $9 plus ANY added extras. I tried the ‘Pulled Beef’. Therefore $13.00 total. I think, for the price, it was a great snack. I would have, however, really enjoyed more flavour overall. Some fresh chopped spring onions would have added a different texture also. I do realise that this is a ‘Franchise Chain’ and that perhaps they have to ‘stick to the menu delivery’. Craving for some Chilli punch, I poured the Salsa over the top. Staff were amazing, even brought a bowl of water out for my dog. Very pleasant people who work there. Next time, I’ll try something different to experience a broader selection...
