Blue Lily Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

The cafe haa a small play area at the back, which was enough to entertain our toddler so we could enjoy a conversation.

While their online menu listed kids' pasta, it wasn't available on the actual menu. However, the owner kindly made a simple pasta with butter and cheese for our toddler, which was a lifesaver since that's all she wanted all morning.

We tried the Cubano on Panini with pulled pork and the Blue Lily Benny on Brisket, while our friends had the Pork Belly on Bao Bun. Everything was delicious.

I caught up with a friend here yesterday. I ordered a bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers. It was very nice though there were very few capers on it. I ordered a latte which was ok, nothing exceptional. My friend ordered poached eggs, bacon and gluten free toast. It came out without butter for the toast, and didn’t look very appetising. It's not much to look at... but don't be deceived by its humble appearance. The food and service are wonderful. We ordered the chilli scramble and the super salad ( with dressing seperate on the side) both meals were delightful, fresh, generous. The salad was surprisingly amazing and we didn't end up using any of the dressing... it was so nice just as it was.
