We decided to come try Omni Bbq from the other side of city due to 4.9 star reviews. We do eat Korean BBQ Buffets a fair bit and have a favourite place but decided to go outside our comfort zone.
We were disappointed…
*The food was placed basically in a corner and depending on where your seated it could be a fairly long walk. Were they place the food to collect is actually quite nice and clean. We grabbed the wagyu beef variations first… the meat didn’t smell too fresh when cooking. Most of the seafood was straight from frozen… from the veggie salad side it was limited variety. One thing really disappointed was its a Korean BBQ place but only had one type of Kim Chi available to eat. Fruits they had mainly rock melon and watermelon and it was actually really fresh and sweet. they didn’t have any stew. Only mention this is because my place I go for similar price has stew buffet available. regarding staff problem I had was the person who showed me to my table just assume i have been there before and once shown she just walked off. We worked out ourselves obviously we just go grab our food but apparently this place uses baking paper on top of the hot plate to cook our food, and a few baking paper left on the already small table to self change. Mind you it cost for 3 adult & 1 child with no drinks ordered $194.00. I would say staff wasn’t friendly but they weren’t friendly either.

Read moreThis was our third visit to this restaurant, and as always, the food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was quite busy today, and although we had made a reservation, we still waited about 5–10 minutes while our table was being cleaned — which we completely understood.
We’re aware there is a 100-minute dining time limit, and we always try our best to be mindful of that. However, today’s experience was quite disappointing. Before we even finished our meal, we were asked to leave. When I returned from getting more food, I was shocked to find that everything on our table had already been cleared — including dishes we hadn’t finished.
What made us feel even more uncomfortable was that other tables who arrived earlier than us were not rushed in the same way. It felt like we were singled out. Honestly, it made us wonder — was it because we’re Chinese and seemed like we’d be easier to ask to leave?
We came in with happy expectations for a nice meal, but left feeling disheartened. We hope the restaurant can treat all customers with the same respect and provide more thoughtful service...
