Bonbons Bakery Burwood VIC — Restaurant in Melbourne

So we bought a 6 inch cake pre-made at the store in Tuesday not long ago, was served by the owner/manager with good service, so we went back in two days ordering this unicorn cake my little daughter wishing for. Upon picking up today, the girl staff and a lady staff with glasses was at the front, chatting quite happily, so we went up and said we were to pick up the cake. The lady staff with glasses, side eyed, leaning on the counter, served us like criminals, and smashed the whole box next to the till like how she would love to do with their breads. My wife was upset, my daughter cried, now we have to change to another cake. Upon changing, the other girl staff still saying it might be the factory delivered damage, which I wouldn’t believe so. As a food retailer store manager as I’m I simply won’t employ staff like that lady with glasses, as this will only hurt the business further. Really disappointed with the assistant's poor attitude and lack of customer service today especially as she was not run off her feet with an abundance of customers. I was waiting to purchase a cake worth $35. The assistant totally ignored me even after the 2 other customers waiting to order coffees told her I was next waiting to be served. She gave a slight glance of her shoulder said nothing and continued as if I was invisible, absolutely no acknowledgement of me at all . Interesting to note the customers where making their apologies as if it where their fault. After she had finished prioritizing the coffee sales she kept her head down and continued to ignore my presence. Her sole focus was fixed with making coffees. I hope for her sake that the business is thriving on selling coffee and snacks alone in preference to incorporating the sale of cakes . I can't imagine 2 coffees would tally up a...

Loving the new revamp of this store's bakery! Previously it didnt stand out to me, and the buns tasted below average. But today when i went to Burwood one for dinner, i saw new staff and many buns/cakes on display which made me very enticed to look a little closer. The staff were all smiley and there were plenty of fluffy buns/cake offerings. Got a whole bag of 5 assorted buns for only $10, which includes a whole pork floss roll, large apple swirl pastry, that are usually $3-4 on their own. They sell swiss roll cakes, chiffon cakes, and many fluffy looking cakes. I wanted to buy them all! Haha just tried a little of each bun, and they were deliciously fluffy and flavourful, plus the coffee swiss roll had tiny coffee bits in the cream! Love it :) Very pleased with this new takeover, easily beats the boxhill bon bons...
