Took an hour and ten minutes to receive our food, I ordered the Sweet Chilli Chicken Burger and my partner had the Train Express (bacon and eggs on toast). I understand that weekends are busier than normal, but we were told it was a 30 minute wait. It was such a letdown.
My chicken burger was lazily made, I feel like I couldâve made the exact same burger at home, traveled to Woolies and back to get the ingredients and made it in 10 minutes flat, and it wouldâve tasted better. The chicken was tough and had bits of hard black from the griller it had been cooked on with hardly any flavour or seasoning at all. It was so dry that even the Philadelphia sweet chilli cream cheese couldnât save it from tasting like the Sahara desert.
Bacon and eggs werenât much better; the same hard black absolutely covered the bacon and eggs making it look like it was cooked in black grease. Eggs were burnt at the bottom - pure black.
I am concerned that the level of black grease that covered my chicken and the bacon and eggs was because of a lack of cleaning the grill when it is busy. I understand it is annoying to clean on hot, busy days, but it isnât hard to do or take out the time to clean between each order to benefit the food you prepare and improve the customerâs experience at an otherwise lovely location.
Would not order food here again unless I wanted to tan for an hour before eating. Drinks...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Carriage Cafe Seville today, and I must say it was an exceptional experience! The restaurant is beautifully situated in a serene outdoor setting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature while you dine. The unique train carriage theme adds a special touch that sets this place apart from other cafes.
I visited on a sunny Sunday morning for breakfast, and it was simply delightful. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, and everything we ordered was prepared to perfection. The freshness of the ingredients really stood out, and the flavors were well-balanced, making each bite enjoyable. I particularly loved the attention to detail in the presentationâeverything was served with care, making the meal feel even more special.
The staff at Carriage Cafe Seville were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch. They were quick to accommodate our requests and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived.
Overall, Carriage Cafe Seville is a must-visit if youâre in the area. Whether youâre a fan of unique dining experiences or just looking for a great place to enjoy a delicious breakfast in a beautiful setting, this cafe will not disappoint. Iâll definitely be...
Read moreWell, we had our expectations. And they were not met - by a mile.
The location is very unique and probably best visited in summer. But be aware, dining inside the train carriage may not be as pretty as you think. The four of us found it to be quite smelly, like thereâs nice scents attached to old places (think books and wood cabins) but this was not quite that. We visited during winter and I imagine it would be worse during summer.
After being put off by the odour, we decided to sit outside (much better!). The service was great, very friendly.
The food leaves a lot to be desired for. Two of us had the âstopping all stationsâ breakfast and it lacked even salt and pepper. The eggs werenât really poached (almost like cooked in a microwave) and the scramble was overdone. The bacon was also burnt to a crisp.
We wanted their lamb ragu but it had been sold out (probably one of the good things on the menu). So instead we also had the pork noodle bowl and the grilled spicy-sweet chicken with sweet potato. Again, both were just bland, flavourless and not good.
I really wanted to like this place but honestly do not see myself visiting again, if at all only...
