Cielo Gourmet Pizza Pasta — Restaurant in Melbourne

Review Sep 2021 I hadn't ordered for a while, someone told me who lived in the area that they thought it changed hands so I decided to order. I don't like to leave negative reviews so I might just delete this, but the base was so hard I wondered if any of the pieces would pierce my throat. The base has definitely changed. It was thin, it was an orangey it was greasier. It reminded me of cardboard. The dessert pizza was inedible on a thin but solid base only 1 slice was eaten and instead just ate the marshmallow on top. It no longer gelled. The thin but sturdy base didn't mix well with any of the contents. Photos included

Review from 8 months ago - 5 Stars with pictures A great potato pizza is hard to find and Cielo's has a great take on this classic - Di Patate. It's extremely tasty and the sour cream gives it that something extra. The dessert pizza was decadent and really hit the spot. This place is the best I've had so far in the EWick/EWood area. I ordered through Uber Eats and the delivery was extremely quick. Driver was courteous and the pizza temperature just right. Did a half and half with Di Patate and Peking Duck. Amazing food ... if you were to compare it to the something one may hypothetically find at the bottom of the McDonald’s dumpster bin. Firstly, thanks for a delivery which arrived 40min late. It was a lovely touch by the bicycle ridding delivery person to finally turn up with lukewarm pizzas. Secondly, quality of the box contents was undoubtably pride and joy of the shop owner. He/she must have read about Pizza somewhere but unfortunately have never bothered to learn how to make it. Nor have they troubled themselves to familiarize themselves as to how a pizza should actually look like.

Lastly please try going to a few amazing places around and trying amazing offerings from places on Barkley st (not going to promote!) and then think twice about choozibv this place.

I've only written one review before which was also positive but felt the need to this time as well. I Ordered a large margherita pizza from Cielo's whom I've ordered from a few times before and never been disappointed. I ordered quite a lot of extra toppings and there was one too many chosen. Instead of just not including it or apologising (which i would be fine with) they upgraded the pizza from a large to extra large with a very generous amount of all the other extra topping which is something they didn't have to do but was incredibly thoughtful and appreciated, especially considering the times we are in.
