Horrible is the word. I asked if the veggies will enough and they said yes. Celery in Thai fried rice and carrot that were the veggies. Rice wasn’t cooked properly. Waste of money will never ever go again. Don’t waste your time and money going there.

Further comments added on 21 Aug after the review placed on 20 Aug to address the owner comments:

I actually cannot believe the response of the owner. So here to share my view On that again. A) yes few chunks of tofu tiny little pieces are seen in the pic you can zoom and check. B) the lady at the counter mentioned there are enough veggies in the dish so I decided not to pay extra for getting extra veggies. Had I known that it’s just rice with hardly any veggies would have certainly paid extra for veggies to be added in uncooked veg fried rice dish. C) if giving an honest feedback seems rude. Then what can I say. D) before posting a review, I called the owner to give my feedback all I heard was sorry. So I gave you an opportunity to offer me a replacement which you never did and now saying you would have, seems v politically correct. just binned the dish after talking to the owner was so upsetting. E) if people ask for fresh chilly you can say u need to pay extra. Don’t write u gave it for free when u never mentioned it includes an extra cost.

While the pad dish was the highlight of the meal, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. The food, aside from that standout dish, was rather average. For example, the red duck curry arrived as a thin broth with a scant five slivers of duck for $25, which hardly justified its price.

Service was notably lacking; we were asked for our order before any drink recommendations were made, and it was clear that the only staff member seemed unprepared for even a modest increase in guest numbers. The apparent uncertainty regarding appropriate glassware for wine and champagne further detracted from the experience.

It seems the establishment prioritizes delivery orders over in-house dining, which explains the minimal attention given to dine-in customers. In summary, while there is some culinary potential, particularly with the pad dish, the overall experience is marred by subpar service and an unfocused...

I came across Tai’s Lao Thai Restaurant last week and, tonight, my partner and I decided to go there for a takeout.

We got a Chicken Tom Yum, Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Phô (which was one of tonight’s specials), and Prawn Spring Rolls.

Ladies & Gentleman, we have a new favourite Thai in the area!

Everything was absolutely fantastic!!

The portions are of great size, packed with beautiful, fresh ingredients, and, most importantly, packed with flavour!

Also, the service was great — the girl, who helped us, was very lovely and helpful!

We paid $60.70 and we were also given complimentary prawn crackers, which were also fresh and delicious.

Can’t wait to go back and try other options from their menu!

Definitely, a new gem...

This meal was a delightful showcase of Thai-Lao cuisine. The papaya salad offered the perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and refreshing flavors. The grilled chicken was tender with a smoky aroma, and the crispy fried fish topped with herbs added a burst of flavor. The Lao sausages were juicy and well-seasoned, while the sticky rice brought everything together beautifully. A highly satisfying and authentic dining experience.
