Clancy's Bakehouse — Restaurant in Melbourne

I normally go here every Monday and I have always had a lovely experience until today. Today, the normal barista wasn’t there, so I ordered my hot drink, and then I waited for 10 minutes for it to be made while other people were served before me. It usually takes less than 5 minutes to get my drink, but not today. When I mentioned to the barista how long It took, he just made some rude remark to me. I won’t be going back. To be treated so rudely by one of your baristas is not acceptable at any level. Also charging $6.50 for warm milk mixed with chocolate syrup? That’s NOT how you make a hot chocolate! Change your name - YOU ARE NOT A BAKE HOUSE !!!

Very misleading to call yourself a BAKEHOUSE and not bake anything. I went here as I couldn't find the bakery I was looking for and I wish I had not bothered. Staff were rude (young girls) dressed like they were going to the beach not working around food. I asked if they baked anything and I was advised "no we buy everything in - it is all made off site". The sausage roll was ok at a stretch but the beef, potato and cheese pie was disgusting. The staff snapped at customers "what do you want" not thankyou no goodbye. Give this place a miss...

There should be more Ned's in the World!

Took my mother in law out to lunch for her birthday at one of her fave (now favourite!) places. We were welcomed by Ned who sat next to her and took the time to go through every lunch option. After a delightful lunch I went to pay and was told that Ned had paid for our lunch. What a beautiful human you are Ned. You absolutely did not have to do that but your gorgeous gesture made our hearts full. My morher in law is now telling everyone to go to Clancy's for lunch!
