Croutons Fine Food — Restaurant in Melbourne

There are a lot of reviews on here complaining about how expensive it is. Yep it is expensive. It’s a gorgeous gourmet food shop in Kooyong selling premium meals, salads, sandwiches and cakes with top notch ingredients. You’re not going to get a bargain. But you will get fabulous food that’s good enough to serve at a dinner party, that’s healthy, homemade and not swimming in salt and additives. Nope. Really nope. It is easy to see they are there to pretend to be luxury but actually the bussiness model is to rip off customers. Been there couple of times. That is a thing, most stuffs are overpriced, lots of lots of things do not have price tag and the quality is mediocre and low. A container of clocked chicken and herb is $40+. Absolutely absolutely nothing special. My understanding they think they are in Toorak so that is enough for them to charge customers as much as much they want without offering any good...

This Christmas I had a very busy work schedule- and thought I'd order in my turkey and ham pre cooked, needless to say I was a bit sceptical as I have never done this before, so I ordered both turkey and ham from Croutons Kouyong!.....
