Bit of a weird night... we were greeted at the door by a security guard who didn't really know what was going on. The inhouse food options were more limited than what was online for some reason. You can usually gage the food quality by the beef burgers, which we ordered ($24 - $25 each) and were equivalent to 'single mum on a budget cooking'. It tasted like all the ingredients were bought from Woolies, including the mince. I ate a third of my Wild Boar burger (was this meant to be spicy?) and half of my wife's cheeseburger which she stopped eating after the first bite. They apparently don't know what a classic cheeseburger is supposed to be but this one had onion strips, sliced tomato, coz lettuce and the burger itself served conveniently on some spilt sauce. And the burgers were really light, usually beef patties are at least 100g each.
We ate most of the chips and a side of onion rings. Chips a literally pub style chips with table salt, nothing fancy. Onion rings look like they're made in-house and are also pretty average.
We put the burgers to the side and the waitress said, "are you done with this". When we nodded I watched her take the plate and tip everything into the bin, didn't ask about the half eaten burgers or mention it to anyone. Feels like this might be a common occurrence.
The bartender wasn't very knowledgeable about the drinks he was serving and when I asked if they have any ale he just gestured to his left and his right where the taps were.
All this on top of the 15% mark-up for a public holiday because "everybody is doing it", kinda feel robbed on the way home.
I will say that the place itself is quite well presented. Inside is nice and the atmosphere is okay. I think the reason I give it such a low score is because it has so much potential. They just need to hire a new cook and redo the menu or something. Maybe hire some waiters that relay helpful feedback to the chefs and owners. Maybe hire some staff that are passionate about beer.
I don't know if it was just because it was a public holiday and everyone didn't want to be there or it's always like this, but if you do decide to go, just don't order the overpriced garbage...

Beer : Tried Hazy IPA, Jungle Juice, West Coast and Apocalypso Beers which were fantastic. Hops are pretty balanced and no bloating in stomach which is fantastic. Highly Recommended to have Apocalypso (Pint) as it's solid. Do check with staff for when they take last Orders as they prefer to serve Pots or middy, due to time constraints (something unusual but okay)
Fries : Yummy fries, can't say they could have done anything else.... goes good with 🍺.
Mediterranean Pizza : Very well made pizza and actually lives up to the name. Garden veggies and base pretty good (assuming if they make their own pizza base)
Nashville Spicy chicken Wings : Spicy food lovers like myself had asked for super spicy wings and booiii it had us going, hot, spicy, cooked red to perfection. Man we're sweating and it made us unstoppable to eat and drink more....Thumbs up Guys for chugging out these wings.... I'm so planning to come back and had these wings again.
Jalapeno Poppers : Such an understatement when you think about then but that's the twist, it tasted so damn amazing that it perks your mood. Just perfect taste and temperature. Wow is simply the word to describe it.
Staff : Friendly and easy going and considerate.
Would suggest them to serve 🍺 in jugs too as that can be a bonus to have merrier time ( just a thought) Highly Recommended this brewery, would be returning soon with my wolfpack...Keep up the...
Read moreSadly, more emphasis is put on selling beer than providing quality food. Meals we had were way below standard. Left regretting dinning there at the Carrum Downs venue. Establishment was substandard for cleanlines which is a clear lack of management. Menus were oily and dirty. Men's toilet urinals smelt and had paper and other foreign objects in them. Wall of plants was mostly empty pots or straggly plants. Floor looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a week with food scraps and dirt all around the table legs. Service will non-existent unless you went to the bar. The food......chips were over cooked in old oil ( would hate to think when it was changed last). Have had better chips at a childrens play centre and they were terrible. Meat cuts, although flavoursome, was minimal leaving you still hungry due to small portions. All our meals were barely warm. Overall it scored a 2 out of 10 and that was being generous. Would strongly recommend a deep clean, better service and an investors board review on what they have invested in as l certainly was extremely unimpressed with just about everything. If you are a single person with plenty of cash, no taste in quality food and like beer, then this in your place otherwise, highly recommend ovoiding. P.S. You might want to deal with the disgusting smell that greets customers coming and going from your bins or sess pits as it is stomach churning.
Happy to discuss this further with any of the investors or board members. Happy to...
