Update - Oct 2023 After our usual Sunday games, one of our friends had suggested to come here for lunch. As we were here before and provided our review, this time we decided to try another food on their menu and have another verdict. Service & Ambience [3]. The place is quite packed with lunch crowd. We are lucky to have a table and quickly settle down to order. Self order at the counter and as usual for us, paying cash to avoid the surcharge. A one point, I called out to the staff to top up the pepper. Some moment passed and she didn't return but I noticed the pepper bottle is put back at the counter. Food [3]. I had the combination wan tan hor. The kuay teow (flat rice noodle) preferred to have some stirred fried before the gravy is added. Another dish, beef hor fan - the beef is hard and doesn't go well with the hor fan. A friend ordered the special of the day - salty fish with bee hoon. For the price, is too little. My friend didn't take too long to finish. Lucky he drank the free Chinese tea to fill full. Another friend ordered the char kuay teow and nothing special, he said. Ok verdict is closed. --------------------------------------- The food didn't wait long to be served. However the portion is small and not for a hungry person. Fried rice wasn't tasty, and KL Hokkien mee too sweet. Teh Tarik could be better. CKT & Hor Fun, not fussy could passed.

Authentic Malaysian restaurant with texture dishes different parts of Malaysia. Brings you the childhood memories in one plate prepared from Mr Danny. Give it a try!

A friend recommended this place when a few of us were chatting about best char kuay teow in Melbourne. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it has one of the best CKT in Melbourne! Everything is done at a moderate level - tasty but not salty, good kuay teow texture, “wok hay” not overly done, not oily nor dry, customised spiciness. It’s pretty perfect to me. Their “wat dan ho” (combination hor fun) is also very try good. Their hor fun (kuay teow) is pretty special. The KL hokkien noodle is not as good as the other two, it’s average. The staff are friendly and attentive. You have to get you own water and hot tea just like any other other cafe. We will definitely be back again to try the others as I heard their Har Mee is very good too.

I'm leaving this review purely based on the very rude attitude of the restaurant manager or shop owner who I dealt with. I have not tasted the food as I didn't get a chance to. I went past their restaurant and saw the sign saying it was "Open" so naturally assumed they were. After walking in I was told in a very abrupt way that they were closed and as I was walking out pointed to the sign and suggested that they change this not to give the wrong impression. To which the manager came up to me very confrontationaly saying that he had planned to do it and that I don't have to tell him that, almost interrogating me. Whatever his reason is for not updating the sign, this is not the customer's issue and certainly not the way to speak to customers, right or wrong (and in my case I was right). He should have shown more cordiality.

He has most probably lost a customer and more who will hear from my experience. Really not sure if he understands how the world of business and service works at least...

Relatively decent Malaysian hawker/street food eatery away from mainstream Kingsway Glen Waverly and nestled in the Sri Lankan food precinct. The times that we've been there, the service was prompt. The open kitchen creates the welcoming whiff of the 'wok breath' upon walking through the door. A friend of mine commented that this instantly adds credibility to the place. I can concur with that but for certain menu items. Recommended is the char kway teow and Ipoh sar hor fun. They nailed it with those dishes. With the rest, I'm still convinced there's room for improvement. Curry laksa for example tasted a tad bland.

My suggestions for improvement - be more generous with the serving size, don't water down the Chinese tea (it's just tea bags) and add sambal to the...
