I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Rose of Thailand Thai Restaurant with a group of friends, and I must say that our experience was nothing short of delightful. From the aromatic curries to the fragrant coconut rice and delectable noodles, every dish we tasted left us thoroughly satisfied and craving for more.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the curries. The Rose of Thailand Thai Restaurant truly excels in capturing the authentic flavors of Thai cuisine. The curries were rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced in terms of heat and spices. Whether it was the classic green curry with its vibrant blend of herbs or the creamy and indulgent red curry, each spoonful was a burst of flavors that transported us to the streets of Thailand.
Accompanying our curries, the coconut rice was a heavenly treat. The fluffy grains were infused with the subtle sweetness and creaminess of coconut, beautifully complementing the spiciness of the curries. It was evident that great care was taken in cooking this staple, as the rice was perfectly cooked and had a delightful texture.
The selection of noodles at The Rose of Thailand Thai Restaurant was equally impressive. We tried the Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodles, both of which were masterfully prepared. The Pad Thai showcased a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and tangy flavors, while the Drunken Noodles boasted a delightful combination of savory and spicy notes. Each dish was a symphony of textures, with the noodles cooked to perfection and the accompanying vegetables and proteins adding depth to the overall experience.
The service at The Rose of Thailand Thai Restaurant was warm and attentive, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, providing a relaxed setting for us to savor our meal and engage in lively conversations.
In conclusion, The Rose of Thailand Thai Restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves recognition for its exceptional culinary offerings. If you're in search of an authentic Thai dining experience, look no further. The flavors, attention to detail, and friendly service make it a must-visit destination for Thai cuisine enthusiasts. Our group of six left the restaurant with smiles on our faces, fully satisfied, and eager to return for more...
Read moreThe food is less than mediocre with horrible and rude serving staff!!!
The duck curry came with a few slivers of duck meat and filled with mainly pineapples and baby corn. The fried snapper was sugary. The tom yum soup was mediocre.
Three of us were dining but only one ordered a bowl of coconut rice. The other two of us do not eat rice due to health reasons. The menu states that the rice can be refilled. When asked to refill the rice one waitress refused because she said we had to order three bowls to get the refill. After telling her that only one person was eating rice, she reluctantly agreed to refill the rice. After a long wait, another waitress in a colourful Thai costume delivered the rice, and very rudely told us that if she caught us sharing the rice she would charge us again.
What a way to treat customers! There are many other Thai restaurants in Melbourne suburbs with better quality food and friendly serving staff. We will never go back there again. Neither would we recommend this...
Read moreMy family and I used to be regular customers of Rose of Thailand, but our recent experience has left us disheartened. The decline in both food quality and service has become evident over the years.
During our most recent visit, we encountered a particularly concerning issue when we were served undercooked Satay chicken skewers. This not only compromised the taste but also raised serious concerns about the risk of food poisoning. When we brought this to the attention of our waitress, her explanation was quite perplexing. She argued that their dishes are cooked with Maryland Chicken Breast and the chicken is supposed to be pink inside when fully cooked. This response was both surprising and worrisome, as undercooked chicken is a serious health hazard.
While Rose of Thailand was once a cherished dining spot for our family, it's disheartening to witness such a decline. We hope the management takes our feedback seriously, addressing the issue to ensure the safety and satisfaction of...
