DELHI CLUB INDIAN RESTAURANT & BAR — Restaurant in Melbourne

We had a booking for 20 people at 6pm. We didn't receive a menu for at least half an hour. We ordered within 15 minutes or so. The food didn't arrive until after 8pm, by which time everyone was getting really hungry, and even then only half of our group were served food - some had ordered the set banquet and they had to wait even longer, maybe another 20-30 minutes. The food was delicious, but it was disappointing to have to wait to so long, and also it arrived slowly - your main, 5 or 10 minutes later, your rice, 5 or 10 minutes later your naan. The waitress was lovely but seemed a bit overwhelmed. The actual restaurant was lovely. Nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the long wait for food was disappointing so we wouldn't go back. They did give us a 10% discount on the bill because of the wait - we had to ask for it though, they...

We held our wedding reception here and the party was EPIC! People partied until the very end. The food was fantastic, thank you chef but more so the girls behind the bar were incredible!!! They did everything we asked, to make sure the night went by without a hitch. The team went above and beyond to cater for us. I would definitely recommend using this venue for dinner celebrations as we as holding a party. The team helped create a space for fun, photos, LOTS of dancing and many many memories. Don't let its location under a dodgy looking motor inn fool you, Delhi Club is a hidden gem. The food is rich in flavour, seasoned well. Every curry you order has a respectable amount of veg/meat. My wife and I have tried indian restaurants all over Melbourne and many places give you lots of gravy and not much else, fall flat on flavour.

The food is so good, even if the staff were rude people, i would still come back here repeatedly. But the staff are the FRIENDLIEST people. Highly recommended! See you next time Delhi Club.
